Iraq to launch Ain Al-Iraq app for government services

Baghdad ( – Iraq's General Traffic Directorate announced on Tuesday the upcoming launch of a new application called Ain Al-Iraq (Iraq's Eye) and a new electronic system for vehicle registration, aimed at simplifying public services. Major General Adey Samir, Director of the General Traffic Directorate, stated that the Ain Al-Iraq app is a major initiative by the Ministry of Interior. 'When a citizen downloads this application… they will get access to all services related to the Ministry of Interior,' he explained, noting this includes traffic, nationality services, and more, all accessible from their phone. Additionally, a new, fully electronic system for vehicle registration will be implemented soon, promising a 'very smooth and simple' process for car owners. These initiatives are part of the government's broader push for digital transformation, which includes the recent activation of e-payment systems across state institutions. The goal is to enhance transparency, simplify procedures, and improve the services offered to Iraqi citizens.
