Airlines once again suspend flights to Israel
Global airlines have again halted flights to and from Tel Aviv after a missile fired by Yemen's Houthis towards Israel on May 4 landed near the country's main international airport, and as Israel continues to carry out strikes across the Gaza Strip. They had begun to resume flights after a ceasefire deal with Palestinian militant group Hamas was reached in January. Israel resumed military operations in the enclave in March and stepped them up in May. Below are airlines that have cancelled flights since early May: AirBaltic Latvia's airBaltic said it would resume scheduled flights between Riga and Tel Aviv from June 6. Air Canada The Canadian airline postponed the resumption of service between Canada and Israel until September 8, instead of the originally scheduled June 8. Air France-KLM The group's Dutch arm KLM resumed flights to and from Tel Aviv on May 31. Air India The Indian flag carrier suspended its flights to and from Tel Aviv until June 19. IAG IAG-owned British Airways has suspended flights to Tel Aviv until June 14. IAG's low-cost airline, Iberia Express, has cancelled flights to Tel Aviv until June 30. ITA Airways The Italian carrier has suspended flights to and from Tel Aviv until June 22. LOT The Polish airline has suspended flights to Tel Aviv until June 8, except for the evening flight on that day. Lufthansa group The German airline group has suspended flights to and from Tel Aviv through June 22. RyanAir Europe's biggest budget airline has cancelled flights to and from Tel Aviv until July 31. United Airlines The Chicago-based airline said its flights to and from Tel Aviv may be impacted between May 4 and June 6.

The skies above India are about to get a lot busier as international carriers add more routes to the world's most-populated nation to make up for tepid transatlantic demand that's come under pressure from global economic uncertainties. Foreign airlines and the biggest Indian operators announced a range of plans at the International Air Transport Association annual general meeting in New Delhi this week to start or increase services to and from the South Asian nation. Delta Air Lines Inc. plans to begin non-stop services from its hub in Atlanta to New Delhi, and the airline also announced a code-sharing pact with low-cost specialist IndiGo, alongside partners Air France-KLM and Virgin Atlantic Airways Ltd.

Air France-KLM Stimulates Transatlantic Demand With Lower Fares
Air France-KLM is stimulating demand among price-sensitive customers with cheaper fares, after some passengers in coach class on routes like trans-Atlantic flights became more hesitant to book. The airline group has noticed about 2-3% softness at the back of its planes, Chief Executive Officer Ben Smith said on Monday in a Bloomberg TV interview. Premium cabins, on which Air France-KLM heavily relies, remain popular, particularly for travel from the US to France, he said.

Little-known airline to launch first ever flights from London airport
AN airline Brits might not have heard of has revealed plans to launch their first ever London flights. Indian airline IndiGo announced last month that they would launch the first flights from the UK. 3 3 The first route will connect Manchester to Mumbai with three flights a week. And the airline has since announced plans to e xtend its European reach even further with flights from the UK. IndiGo's airline chief Pieter Elbers said they want to add another 10 new destinations, including London. He didn't confirm where in India the new route would operate to, but is likely to launch from a London airport by March 2026. Other new route include flights from Copenhagen and Athens. The current Manchester to Mumbai route is using leased Norse Atlantic aircraft. The first flight is set to take off on July 1, and will be the only route connecting Manchester to India. The London flights will also be using wet-leased 787s. And it comes after IndiGo confirmed they would be joining with Virgin Atlantic along with KLM and Air France. Pieter Elbers said: 'IndiGo has embarked on an ambitious journey to become a global airline by 2030. Jet2 launches six new flights from major UK airport "This announcement not only expands our relationship with Air France-KLM and Virgin Atlantic but also marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter as we welcome Delta Airlines as a valued partner.' Virgin CEO Shai Weiss added : 'In our 25th year of flying to India, we're delighted to build on our Joint Venture with Delta and Air France-KLM, and our successful codeshare with IndiGo, by going further with this partnership." Along with Manchester, IndiGo confirmed flights from Amsterdam to Mumbai would also be launched from July 1. The airline currently operates more than 2,300 flights a day, with more than 400 aircraft. The new routes will take on British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and Air India would currently operate a number of flights from the UK. This includes direct routes to Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Goa.
