Kicks Lounge x Seoul, Soul, Sole Sizzled as Air Jordan's Hottest Sneaker Drop of the Year
This past weekend, Akron, Ohio was the epicenter of sneaker culture as Kicks Lounge unveiled 'Seoul, Soul, Sole'—an immersive, sold-out experience blending Korean heritage, street culture, and the highly anticipated release of the limited-edition Air Jordan 3 'Seoul 2.0.' Curated by Korean-American designer and Kicks Lounge founder Thomas Kim, the event was more than a launch. It was a statement. As an Akron native chosen by Jordan Brand to debut the sneaker, Kim responded with a deeply personal vision—transforming a reimagined warehouse into a cultural playground rooted in legacy, creativity, and community. Guests were welcomed into a full-sensory gallery experience, complete with neon Jumpman and Korean flag installations, a towering six-foot sculpture of the Air Jordan 3 'Seoul 2.0,' and immersive storytelling elements that celebrated Kim's heritage. A 'Window into Korean Heritage' installation served as the heartbeat of the space, while live DJ sets from DJ ESO, 100 Grand, and DJ Pikachieu kept the energy high. Curated bites, Korean-inspired cocktails, and food trucks added to the electric atmosphere, offering guests a chance to taste the cultural fusion on display. This was also one of the first opportunities for sneakerheads to get their hands on the AJ3 'Seoul 2.0' ahead of its broader release, making the drop one of the most talked-about of the year. Exclusive giveaways and raffles heightened the excitement, while attendees from across the country came out in force, including celebrities and pro athletes like Jerome Baker of the Cleveland Browns, Justin Layne of the Steelers, Mohamed Sanu of the Falcons, actress and recording artist Briannagh D, and YouTuber and college basketball standout Robert Fomby. 'This wasn't just a sneaker drop—it's a movement,' said Kim. 'Seoul, Soul, Sole bridges my Korean roots with the Akron community. It's about honoring legacy, embracing culture, and showing how far style can travel when it's built on something real.' The event solidified Kicks Lounge as a creative force in sneaker culture, and 'Seoul, Soul, Sole' as one of the boldest expressions of identity and design this year. Nike's Air Jordan 3 to launch soon: Prepare for a new release, sneakerheads! In the sneaker industry, the Air Jordan 3 "Seoul" is creating waves, and fans are excitedly anticipating its release. The legendary Air Jordan 3 silhouette is about to get a distinctive look and flare thanks to this intriguing new colorway. You're at the perfect place if you enjoy keeping up with the newest sneaker releases or if you're a fan of Michael Jordan's iconic shoes. Everything you need to know about the Air Jordan 3 "Seoul" is right here, including the release date and cost. Let's get started and discover what makes this sneaker unique. Nike's Air Jordan 3 'Seoul 2.0' expected launch date On May 17, 2025, the special edition Air Jordan 3 "Seoul 2.0" is anticipated to go on sale. This more recent iteration, which is regarded as a follow-up to the extremely limited Air Jordan 3 "Seoul" that was released in 2018, has some noteworthy design elements and improvements that further highlight Korean history and culture. What to expect from Nike's Air Jordan 3 'Seoul 2.0'? As part of Jordan Brand's celebration of the Air Jordan 3's 30th anniversary, the inaugural Air Jordan 3 "Seoul" was released in 2018. The design, which was made by Dan Sunwoo, the general manager of Nike's Kobe brand, was created in 1988 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Olympic Games in Seoul. A country flag had never been so conspicuously featured on an Air Jordan Retro until this release. Because of this feature alone, pairs have never sold for less than $1,000 on the secondary market, making them extremely sought-after by both South Korean and Jordanian collectors. In 2020, a limited edition of the same design was made available only to women. The Air Jordan 3 "Seoul 2.0" was first mentioned in March. J-Hope of BTS was the first to wear the shoes courtside at a LA Lakers game shortly after they were leaked. The Seoul 2.0 Jordans have Nike Air on the heel and the South Korean flag on the left tongue, same like the original pair. The pre-aged fading on the midsole and upper edges, the traditional fabric on the ankle lining, and the Korean words stitched beneath the tongue are the new details. Where to buy the Nike's Air Jordan 3 'Seoul 2.0'? As of right now, the Air Jordan 3 "Seoul 2.0" will go on sale on SNKRS and other international shops on May 17, 2025. The shoes will be released on May 10 during an in-store activation by Sesinko, who has been chosen as the exclusive early release partner in the United States. The leading shoe shop in South Korea will be Kasina. The official store list is provided below and will be updated continuously until the debut on May 17. Make sure to participate in raffles whenever you can. Nike's Air Jordan 3 'Seoul 2.0' expected price The retail price is $200 USD. NYC woman raped at knifepoint while walking home in Queens: cops
A Queens woman was raped at knife-point while walking home early Friday by a man wearing a 'Scary Ghost Face' t-shirt, cops said. The 50-year-old victim was at 162nd Street and 89th Avenue in Jamaica when the stranger walked up from behind and threatened her with the knife before raping her around 3 a.m., according to cops. The attacker, whose shirt featured an illustration of a ghost with a knife, took off south on 89th Avenue, and the victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition. News of the attack left neighborhood residents on edge. Dario Martinez, a retiree in his 80s, has lived in the area for more than 20 years and said he was shocked, but not surprised, by the rape. 'Oh my God!' he said with his eyes and mouth wide open when informed of the incident. 'At night, you have to be careful. It's dangerous around here — very, very bad. I'm not surprised. By 9, I don't recommend anybody walking around here, especially the elderly.' A neighborhood resident who identified herself only as Carmen, 82, said she is afraid to go outside. 'After 6 o'clock in the evening, I do not go nowhere,' she said. 'If I go out, I have to have a vehicle to take me and bring me back.' Feisty 58-year-old Latrenda Frazier, who takes care of her elderly mother, said she would have fought tooth and nail if the man had attacked her. 'You have to cut me, shoot me….but you are not having sex with me,' she said. 'I would shout, I would scream. I would fight back. He would have to kill me, or he's going to get killed — it's either or, but he is not doing that to me.' She felt 'really bad' for the victim, she added. 'She probably is traumatized,' Frazier said. 'I hope she regains her confidence. That's not an easy thing to go through.' The alleged rapist is described as having a light complexion, being between 20 and 30 years old, standing 5-foot-6 and weighing about 120 pounds with black hair, cops said. He was wearing a black baseball cap with a white Adidas logo, black and white Air Jordan 3 sneakers, and a black sweatshirt emblazoned with red lettering, surveillance photos released by police showed. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crimestoppers website at or on X @NYPDTips.

A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 3 'For The Love': Release Date, Where to Buy, and Everything You Should Know
Ladies and gentlemen, the Air Jordan world is on absolute fire right now—and it only gets better as the months roll on. We've already seen a wave of iconic Jordan re-releases, and even with just those, the sneaker content might've been enough. But the brand-new drops? That's just icing on the cake. The "For The Love" collection is going strong, with no misses, I might add. According to Sneaker News, "The 'For The Love' Collection ushers in some familiar designs from A Ma Maniére's catalog swapped with a much moodier, darker color palette," and for this collection, that vibe has been perfect—and an easy style to match. Now, this is a three-way drop consisting of the Air Jordan 3, Air Max 95, and Nike Air Force 1. A Ma Maniére's 'For The Love' Collection is expected to launch in the next few days, on March 29, 2025, and for right now, they'll only be found through The Whitaker Group's doors. On that same day, the entirety of the "For The Love" collection will be dropping exclusively through A Ma Maniére's online store (11 AM ET) and chapter stores at noon. The triple drop is great, but you were brought in for the Jordans specifically. The "For The Love" 3s' retail price is projected to be a not-too-heavy $225, and based on other releases from this collection, the price will stay around this range. Even when the resellers get their hands on them, they stay in the $200s and never go much higher than slightly over $300. Stay tuned for more Nike and Air Jordan release news, and check out the articles below.
