QuikTrip opens second location in Rockford
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — QuikTrip has opened its second location in Rockford near the former Sandy Hollow Kmart. 'We're thrilled to expand our presence in Illinois with our newest store in Rockford,' said QuikTrip Corporate Communications Manager Aisha Jefferson. 'We look forward to becoming a trusted part of the Rockford community while continuing to deliver the quality, service and standards our customers have come to expect from QuikTrip.' In addition to the QuikTrip Travel Center near the Hard Rock Casino Rockford, at 8060 E. State Street at Lyford Road, the new gas station, at 1509 Sandy Hollow Road, has four dedicated diesel bays, eight bays for passenger vehicles, a full-service kitchen, and an array of ready-to-serve items. 'QT Kitchens customer favorites include warm, soft pretzels, custom breakfast tacos, hardwood-smoked BBQ sandwiches, cold brew coffee, and frozen treats like QT's QuikShake. Customers will also be able to enjoy fresh donuts, sub sandwiches, wraps, QT's signature pizza by the slice, and roller grill items,' according to a press release. QuikTrip is a chain of gas stations and convenience stores based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The first store opened in 1958. The chain offers Quik'n Tasty sandwiches, including Texas Ham and Cheese, BarBQ Pork Rib, and the Super Po Boy, along with HOTZI breakfast sandwiches from its QT Kitchens. QuikTrip on Wagner Ford projected for summer opening
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — The opening of QuikTrip's Harrison Township location has been pushed to the summer. According to Harrison Township, the convenience store's newest location at 2301 Wagner Ford Road is projected to open this summer. Aisha Jefferson, corporate communications manager for QuikTrip, told in July 2024 the location was expected to open this spring. Aside from having fuel stations upon opening, the location is also expected to feature made-to-order food, grab-and-go sandwiches, a variety of beverages and more. QuikTrip purchases site of ex-hotel in Harrison Township The township said new life to the site is great, as the property faced devastation on Memorial Day in 2019 when tornados ripped through the area. 'This site, once home to numerous hotel chains over the years, was devastated by the 2019 Memorial Day tornadoes,' said Harrison Twp. 'Now, it's getting a fresh start, marking another step forward in the area's recovery and revitalization.' reached out to Jefferson Wednesday morning to see if a target opening date has been determined. Man found shot in face at Dayton gas station; Suspect walks into hospital with gunshot wound
A 60-year-old is expected to survive after being shot in the face in Dayton. Eric Sheldon with Dayton police. He was taken to an area hospital, and his injuries are considered non-life threatening. Around 30 minutes after the shooting, Dayton officers were called to an area hospital for a stabbing victim. Officers learned that the person had been shot and was the suspect in the shooting. QuickTrip Communications Manager Aisha Jefferson sent News Center 7 the following statement: 'QuikTrip's top priority is always the safety of our employees and our customers. We are working closely with the Dayton Police Department to assist with their ongoing investigation on Edwin C.
