Man found shot in face at Dayton gas station; Suspect walks into hospital with gunshot wound
A 60-year-old is expected to survive after being shot in the face in Dayton.

As News Center 7 previously reported, a shooting was reported at the QuikTrip gas station at 2121 Edwin C Moses Boulevard around 7:18 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found a 60-year-old man in his car suffering from a gunshot wound to the face, according to Lt. Eric Sheldon with Dayton police.
He was taken to an area hospital, and his injuries are considered non-life threatening.
Around 30 minutes after the shooting, Dayton officers were called to an area hospital for a stabbing victim.
Officers learned that the person had been shot and was the suspect in the shooting.
QuickTrip Communications Manager Aisha Jefferson sent News Center 7 the following statement:

Polk County deputy given Life Saver Award after reviving man overdosing
A Polk County deputy was awarded the Life Saver Award by Sheriff Johnny Moats on Monday, after she saved a man's life last week. On Sunday, June 1, Corporal Amy Davis was on patrol in Rockmart when she was flagged down by a concerned person. That person directed her to a man slumped over inside a vehicle in the parking lot of a nearby convenience store. Corporal Davis found the man, who was unconscious. A chase ended when a driver exited Interstate 675 and hit a guardrail in last month. Man dies after being shot during argument while driving in Paulding County
Paulding County deputies are investigating a deadly shooting. On Monday, at approximately 2:25 p.m., 911 dispatchers received a call reporting a shooting near the intersection of Ridge Road and Cohran Store Road. Deputies said the victim called 911 himself and told dispatchers that he got into a fight with a man driving a black SUV and was shot by the man. After he was shot, the victim drove to the Paulding County Fire Station 5 on Ridge Road in Douglasville for help.
