Big relief for Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, High Court dismisses case against them, know details here

A new twist has now emerged on the third film of the 'Jolly LLB' series, which is famous for suspense, courtroom drama and controversies. In the ongoing hearing on the petition of Ajmer District Bar Association, the Rajasthan High Court clearly said that there is no need to stop the shooting of the film. The court has rejected the petition considering it a mere 'apprehension'. 'No claim can be based on…'- High Court A single bench of Justice Ashok Jain said in its judgment- 'The film is still under production. To say that the image of the judiciary or lawyers is being tarnished in the film is merely an assumption. In such a situation, the court cannot impose any ban on it.' The court further said, 'Under the Cinematography Act-1952, the content of the film cannot be made public before its release. If there is an objection to any scene, there is a provision to approach the censor board.' What is the whole matter? Ajmer District Bar Association President Chandrabhan Rathore had filed a case against the film Jolly LLB-3 in the local court. He said that the judiciary and lawyers were shown in the wrong way in the first two parts of the film. Now, there is a similar apprehension in the third part as well. Therefore, its shooting should be stopped, and a committee should be formed to investigate the film. film producers, actors file revision petition in HC A revision petition was filed in the High Court against this petition on behalf of the film's actors, Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, and director Subhash Kapoor. Senior advocate RK Agarwal argued on their behalf that – 'The final decision on the script, scene or dialogue of a film is that of the censor board. The court can intervene only when the film is released after being passed by the censor board, not before that.' Questions on shooting in a government building It was also argued on behalf of the Bar Association that the film was shot in a government building, the Ajmer DRM Office, without permission. But advocates Adhiraj Modi and Aditya Chaudhary, on behalf of the filmmakers, told the court that full permission for the shooting was taken and about Rs 25 lakh has also been paid to the Railways in lieu of this. The shooting went on from 25 April to 10 May 2024. Bar Association's argument The Bar Association had pleaded before the court that judges and lawyers were shown ridiculous in the previous two parts of the film. Therefore, it is necessary to form a committee to review the scenes of the film. Impact of the decision This decision of the High Court clearly indicates that judicial intervention in the filmmaking process will happen only when a clear violation of the law is found. No ban can be imposed based on mere suspicion and past experiences. Now it remains to be seen that when the film Jolly LLB-3 comes on the big screen, will it be engulfed in controversies like before or will it once again win the hearts of the audience on the basis of justice, satire and drama?
