South al Sharqiyah to host Ajwaa al Ashkharah Forum
Muscat: The Governorate of South al Sharqiyah is set to host the third edition of Ajwaa al Ashkharah (Al Ashkharah Summer Extravaganza), a vibrant cultural and recreational event set to feature a diverse line-up of activities.
Organised under the auspices of the Office of the Wali of Jalan Bani Bu Ali, the festival aims to highlight the cultural richness of the region while offering entertainment and community engagement opportunities.
This year's edition will include an array of attractions such as poetry evenings, horse shows, car challenges, and a dedicated space for productive families to display and sell their handmade goods.
The event will be held in Niyabat Al Ashkharah, a coastal town known for its scenic beaches, fishing heritage, and active local community.
The festival serves not only as a celebration of the area's traditions but also as a platform for economic and social development.
In addition to promoting cultural, sports and social interaction, the event is also expected to generate temporary employment opportunities.
According to organisers, temporary job opportunities related to event coordination and operations are being offered to residents of the Niyabat al Ashkharah, supporting local participation and community empowerment.
