Career guidance app, Sanskrit dictionary, reading portal mark 5 years of NEP 2020
As the country celebrates five years of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), the Education Ministry has launched a bunch of student-focused initiatives to boost learning and a career guidance app and reading fluency test portal to a massive digital Sanskrit knowledge database, these new tools are designed to support learners across languages and the Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam (ABSS) held on July 30, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan led the event, which also saw foreign universities like University of Bristol and La Trobe being cleared to open campuses in CAREER ADVISOR APP This new student career guidance app helps school students figure out the best career paths through personalised developed by NCERT and the Wadhwani Foundation and is aimed at making career planning easier and more accessible for every student, even in smaller READING PORTALTo help improve reading fluency in Indian languages, the Ministry introduced the TARA web portal, a free tool to assess oral reading skills from Grades 3 to 8. It works across 22 Indian languages and gives data-backed feedback to teachers and system includes over 1.8 lakh questions to track and improve reading KNOWLEDGE HUBThe Encyclopaedic Sanskrit Dictionary launched at the Deccan College in Pune is more than just a dictionary -- it's a digital reference of Sanskrit words and ideas across subjects like science, philosophy, art, and announced was ViBe, an AI-powered learning tool from IIT Ropar that uses real-time feedback and smart challenges to keep learners engaged.(With PTI inputs)- Ends

KV Kanjikode ‘dedicated to nation'
Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanjikode on Tuesday became the sole Central school from Ernakulam region to be 'dedicated to the nation' as part of the Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam (ABSS) celebrating the fifth anniversary of the National Education Policy, 2020. M.S. Neelakandan, general manager (operations) of Instrumentation Ltd, Palakkad, unveiled a commemorative plaque at the school. The plaque commemorated the institution's formal dedication by Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan. School management committee members Unnikrishnan, Praveena Gangadharan and K.A. Nandajan, school's first Class 12 topper Sai Anand, German visiting teacher Sylvia and school safety council member K.T. Sudarshan attended the function. The event drew a diverse crowd, including special guests, parents, staff and alumni. Principal S. Harilal welcomed the gathering. Teacher Rugmini Menon proposed a vote of thanks.
