Madbouly rebuts critics: Egypt's steadfast support for Gaza undeniable
Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has responded to campaigns by some seeking to exploit events in Gaza to malign Egypt and organize hostile campaigns against it, despite its immense efforts to support the Palestinian people, Al-Mal reported. During press statements, Madbouly affirmed that 'the crossing is open from our side, and we are exerting our utmost efforts to facilitate the entry of all possible aid. We will not falter in this matter, and the Rafah crossing has never been closed for a single day from the Egyptian side.' The Prime Minister added, 'We are all affected by the harsh scenes we witness in Gaza, and we affirm the clear constants of the Egyptian state. Since the start of the recent conflict in October 2023, we remember that just a few days after the outbreak of this war, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi explicitly stated that Egypt completely rejects the liquidation of the Palestinian cause and will not allow the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza.' The Prime Minister stressed that 'Egypt was the first country to say this, and he hopes that everyone remembers all the bilateral meetings the President held on this matter, all of which underscore the constants of the Egyptian position.' Dr. Mostafa Madbouly further elaborated that 'from day one, Egypt immersed itself in negotiations and mediation between the two parties, and we succeeded in brokering the first ceasefire with our partners from Qatar. Egypt has not ceased its mediation efforts, with the participation of our sister nation Qatar, in the hope of ending the war.' The Prime Minister continued: 'We move to the most important point regarding Egypt's plan for the reconstruction of Gaza, which has now become an Arab-Islamic plan. Egypt has always taken the initiative on this issue and in humanitarian aid, and this is not a boast, as 80 percent of the aid that has entered the Gaza Strip so far has been a contribution from the Egyptian government and the Egyptian civil sector. Egypt has not stopped receiving wounded and injured Palestinians, along with their families, and the Egyptian citizen must be aware of these facts.'

27 Egyptian companies to participate in Libya Build exhibition in Tripoli
The Chairman of Egypt's Export Council for Chemical Industries and Fertilizers, Khaled Abu Al-Makarem, confirmed the participation of 27 Egyptian companies in the 17th edition of the Libya Build exhibition in Tripoli, scheduled to take place from May 12 to 15, 2025. The companies will exhibit over an area of 436 square meters, alongside participants from nine countries including Italy, Turkey, Egypt, France, Malta, Tunisia, Germany, China, and Austria. The event aims to strengthen economic cooperation between Egypt and Libya. According to Al-Mal newspaper, Abu Al-Makarem said that the participation seeks to boost the presence of Egyptian products in the Libyan market and open new channels of cooperation with Libyan partners, particularly given the growing demand for high-quality and competitively priced Egyptian chemical products. He stressed that the Libyan market is a vital destination for Egyptian exports, adding that the Libya Build exhibition serves as a strategic platform for enhancing trade relations between the two countries and increasing chemical exports, thereby supporting Egypt's national economy and its export growth targets. The Executive Director of the Export Council for Chemical Industries and Fertilizers, Mohamed Magid, said the council aims, through this participation, to open new markets for Egyptian companies and strengthen their footprint in the Libyan market, which offers promising opportunities for growth and investment. The Egyptian presence comes amid a surge in sector exports to Libya in 2024, with plastic product exports reaching around $103 million, inks and paints $94 million, detergents $36 million, various chemical products $15 million, glass products $13 million, and fertilizers $11 million, among other Egyptian goods.
