KUWAIT CITY, May 15: Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hamoud, Secretary-General of Al-Masayel Equestrian Club, affirmed the club's ongoing commitment to excellence, with its riders continuing to proudly represent Kuwait and compete for titles on the international stage. He celebrated the outstanding achievement of club rider Abdullah Al-Awadhi, who secured second place in the overall rider rankings for the 2024–2025 show jumping season. Al-Hamoud also praised Al-Masayel Club's impressive third-place finish in the overall club standings, achieved amid strong competition from across the country. Reflecting on the season's accomplishments, Al-Hamoud noted that the club had participated in European training camps in Belgium and several international tournaments. He announced plans to organize a summer training camp in Germany and revealed the club's intention to import elite show jumping horses from Belgium, Germany, and Austria to bolster its competitive edge. He emphasized that Al-Masayel Club has successfully built a strong foundation in show jumping, with over 120 male and female riders training under expert coaches from Italy and Kuwait. Al-Hamoud once again commended Abdullah Al-Awadhi for his consistent excellence, cementing his position as one of Kuwait's top equestrian talents.

Al-Kharafi crowned champion of the Kuwait Equestrian League

KUWAIT CITY, May 4: Kuwait Club and national team rider Ali Jassim Al-Kharafi secured the championship of the fourth edition of the Kuwait Equestrian Federation League for the 2024–2025 season, completing a remarkable 'super hat-trick' of consecutive titles. Al-Kharafi was awarded the championship shield during a crowning ceremony attended by key figures, including the Federation's Secretary-General and Olympic Committee member Ghazi Faisal Al-Jariwi, Secretary-General of Al-Masayel Equestrian Club Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hamoud, and jockey Sabah Ali Al-Sabah from the Sahara Equestrian Resort. In the final round, held at Sahara Equestrian Resort in Subhan, Al-Kharafi claimed first place, ahead of Anaaz Al-Anaaz. With this result, Al-Kharafi's total points rose to 570 in the overall standings. He was followed by Al-Masayel Club's Abdullah Al-Awadhi with 457 points, while Kuwait Club's Yara Al-Hunaidi came in third with 333 points. Expressing his joy at clinching his fourth straight league title, Al-Kharafi dedicated the victory to the Kuwait Equestrian Club and his family for their unwavering support. He reiterated his commitment to raising Kuwait's name in international equestrian forums. On the sidelines of the event, a press conference was held with participation from local clubs and sponsors. Secretary-General Ghazi Al-Jariwi announced that the 2025–2026 season will feature 13 major equestrian championships, supported by both public and private sectors. Vice President of the Kuwait Equestrian Federation, Sheikh Yousef Mishal Al-Sabah, reaffirmed the federation's commitment to supporting riders at all levels and highlighted the successful partnerships secured with private sector sponsors during the current season.
