In First Video Statement in Months, Abu Ubaida: We Are Ready for a Prolonged War of Attrition - Jordan News

Abu Ubaida, the military spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades, affirmed the Palestinian resistance's readiness to continue a prolonged war of attrition against the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip. اضافة اعلان In his first recorded speech since March 6, Abu Ubaida vowed more high-impact operations and strongly criticized the Israeli government and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for their handling of the prisoners' file. He stated that the occupation resumed its aggression four months ago after 'violating agreements and reversing the deal struck with the resistance,' noting that the Al-Qassam Brigades have caused hundreds of casualties among Israeli soldiers, in addition to thousands suffering from psychological trauma and neurological disorders. Abu Ubaida emphasized that Al-Qassam fighters have surprised the enemy with new tactics and methods, and have attempted several operations in recent weeks to capture Israeli soldiers. He explained that the current strategy of Al-Qassam is based on 'inflicting heavy losses on the enemy, carrying out qualitative operations, and striving to capture soldiers,' warning that the continuation of the occupation government's 'genocidal war' means it will keep receiving the bodies of its soldiers and officers. He accused the Israeli Prime Minister and his ministers of rejecting the initiatives proposed by the resistance regarding the prisoners' file, saying they 'have no real interest in their captured soldiers,' adding that 'Netanyahu and his ministers have conditioned their public to accept the idea of all the soldiers being killed.' Abu Ubaida said the resistance is closely monitoring the ongoing negotiations, expressing hope that they could lead to 'a deal that guarantees an end to the genocide, the withdrawal of the occupation, and relief for our people.' However, he warned that if the enemy remains obstinate during this round of talks, 'we cannot guarantee a return to partial deals or the proposal concerning the ten prisoners.' He pointed to what he called 'clear signs of the Zionist failure' in confronting the resistance, including 'resorting to war crimes, collective punishment, genocide, and ethnic cleansing,' adding that the occupation 'takes pride in torturing the innocent and publicly declaring plans for forced displacement, touting systematic destruction as a military achievement.' He also accused the occupation of seeking to establish 'Nazi-style detention camps under false humanitarian labels,' noting that 'the enemy wants to replicate historical atrocities with sadism and brutality that make Nazism seem small in comparison.' Abu Ubaida concluded by saying that 'the lie of anti-Semitism, which our enemies have long exploited, will become a farce and a scandal in the eyes of the world.'

VIDEO: Abu Obaida issues first statement in over four months

Abu Obaida, spokesperson for Al-Qassam Brigades, appeared in a newly released video on Friday, marking his first public statement since March 6, 2025. In the video, he said four months had passed since the 'Israeli' military resumed its aggression on Gaza, accusing 'Israel' of betraying the terms of a previously agreed deal with the resistance. He said that 'Israel' violated the truce and overturned commitments made during negotiations, leading to a renewed escalation in the aggression, in reference to "Israel's" surprise attack on Gaza in March during a declared ceasefire between the two parties. Abu Obaida said Al-Qassam fighters have killed or wounded hundreds of 'Israeli' soldiers in recent months, while thousands more have reportedly suffered psychological trauma and shock. He added that the resistance has introduced new tactics and methods, drawing lessons from what he described as the longest war in the history of the Palestinian people. He revealed that fighters have attempted several operations in recent weeks aimed at capturing 'Israeli' soldiers. Capturing soldiers has been a long-standing goal for the group, often used to negotiate prisoner exchanges. Abu Obaida described Gaza's armed resistance as 'the greatest military school for a people resisting occupation in modern history,' affirming that they remain fully prepared to continue a prolonged war of attrition against the occupation, regardless of the form or strategy of future assaults. He said the current strategy of Al-Qassam's leadership is to inflict maximum losses on 'Israeli' forces, carry out high-impact operations, and pursue the capture of soldiers. In a regional message, he strongly criticized Arab leaders for their silence, saying: 'The enemy would not have committed genocide in full view of the nation's leaders unless it was assured of impunity, guaranteed silence, and bought betrayal.' He stressed that no one was exempt from the responsibility of the bloodshed: 'We do not absolve anyone. Everyone who can act, according to their ability and influence, must do so.' He also praised Yemen's Ansar Allah (Houthis), calling them 'truthful brothers' who forced the enemy to face a new front and 'exposed the cowardice of those who remain passive.' Abu Obaida extended his thanks to 'all the free people around the world' who have shown solidarity and attempted to break the siege on Gaza despite risks. He reiterated support for the Palestinian negotiating delegation in indirect talks with 'Israel,' stating that Hamas had offered a comprehensive deal to release all enemy captives at once. 'War criminal Netanyahu and his ministers rejected our offer. It became clear they are not interested in the fate of their soldiers,' he said, accusing the 'Israeli' leadership of preparing the public for the possibility that all prisoners might be dead. He concluded by expressing hope that the ongoing negotiations would lead to a deal ensuring an end to what he called a 'genocidal war,' the withdrawal of occupying forces, and urgent humanitarian relief for Gaza.

Israeli Video Documents Al-Qassam's Complex Ambush in Beit Hanoun - Jordan News

Israeli Video Documents Al-Qassam's Complex Ambush in Beit Hanoun The military correspondent for the Ultra-Orthodox Jewish Radio (Haredim Radio) released a video allegedly documenting a complex ambush carried out by the Palestinian resistance in the town of Beit Hanoun, in northern Gaza, last Monday evening. اضافة اعلان The footage shows the moment the 'Netzah Yehuda' battalion was hit by an explosion during a military operation under the command of the Northern Brigade in the Gaza Division. The video captures several Israeli soldiers throwing themselves to the ground, others dragging wounded comrades, and heavy and light gunfire being exchanged. The Beit Hanoun ambush is considered one of the most precise and sophisticated operations carried out by the resistance since the start of the Israeli war on Gaza in October 2023. The ambush resulted in the killing of five Israeli soldiers and the injury of 14 others. Preliminary Israeli investigations indicate that the ambush occurred as two battalions moved to "clear the area." A foot patrol reportedly stepped on a booby-trapped route, triggering two explosive devices, followed by heavy gunfire targeting the rescue teams. Following the ambush, the Al-Qassam Brigades — the military wing of Hamas — posted an image on their Telegram channel vowing to shatter the prestige of the Israeli army. — Tamer | تامر (@tamerqdh) July 9, 2025 On Tuesday, Abu Obeida, the spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades, warned that the Israeli army would face daily losses from north to south Gaza in what he described as a war of attrition. He called the Beit Hanoun ambush "a blow to the prestige of the feeble Israeli army and its most brutal units operating in a battlefield they falsely believed was secure." Abu Obeida added that the 'dumbest decision' Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu — who is wanted by the International Criminal Court — could make is to keep his forces inside the Gaza Strip. He hinted that the resistance may soon succeed in capturing Israeli soldiers. In a clear sign of intensifying resistance operations, Yedioth Ahronoth reported that 39 Israeli soldiers and officers have been killed in Gaza since Israel resumed its military campaign on March 18, following its withdrawal from the January 2025 agreement. — (Al Jazeera)

Al-Qassam Brigades reveal 3 operations targeting Zionist enemy soldiers & vehicles in Gaza

Gaza – Saba: Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), disclosed on Wednesday three operations carried out by its fighters in recent days, targeting Zionist enemy soldiers and vehicles in the southern and northern Gaza Strip. In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), Al-Qassam reported that its fighters, upon returning from combat lines, confirmed the targeting of a Zionist "Merkava" tank with a high-explosive landmine in the Abasan al-Kabira area, east of Khan Younis, on July 4. Additionally, the Brigades stated that their fighters targeted a Zionist military "D9" bulldozer with a high-explosive landmine on "Sarari" Street in Jabalia, northern Gaza, on July 5. Al-Qassam also confirmed that its fighters targeted a military excavator carrying two Zionist soldiers with an RPG shell on Tuesday, noting that enemy helicopters were seen landing for evacuation in the Abasan al-Kabira area. These operations come as part of the Palestinian resistance factions' response to the genocide committed by the Zionist enemy against the people of Gaza, with U.S. support, since October 7, 2023—including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement—while ignoring international appeals and the International Court of Justice's orders to halt its aggression.
