Yemeni-Houthi Official Dayfallah Al-Shami: Yemeni Weapons Are Made for War, Not the Market - We Test Them on Real Targets, We Don't Fire Them in the Air in Drills; 10 Million Fighters Ready to Enter P
Dayfallah Al-Shami of the Yemeni-Houthi Ansar Allah Political Bureau said in a May 21, 2025 show on Al-Alam TV (Iran) that weapons in Yemen are manufactured according to the needs of the war, not market demand, which, he claimed, makes Yemeni weapons 'high-quality and distinctive.' He stated that they do not test their weapons in drills, 'shooting in the air for no reason,' but rather by firing them at real targets. Al-Shami also said that Yemen has approximately 10 million fighters armed and ready. If the borders were opened and Yemeni fighters were allowed to enter Palestine and fight, he asserted, there would be more fighters than the number of Jews in the world.

Yemen : Houthi Rebels Arrest Deputy Intelligence Chief Over Alleged Leak
On Tuesday, the Houthi rebels in Yemen detained Abdul Qader Al-Shami, the deputy head of their intelligence service, on charges of leaking sensitive coordinates of rebel locations. The arrest follows a series of airstrikes that targeted key Houthi positions, reportedly facilitated by the leaked information. Local sources suggest that the leaked coordinates enabled precision strikes, leading to significant losses within the Houthi ranks. The arrest of Al-Shami is seen as part of an internal crackdown aimed at addressing vulnerabilities within the group's leadership and operations. This development highlights the growing tensions and internal challenges faced by the Houthis as they navigate both external military pressures and internal security concerns. The incident underscores the complexities of the ongoing conflict in Yemen, where intelligence and counterintelligence play critical roles in shaping the dynamics of the war.
