Minster of Education praises students' achievement at in't robotics award
KUWAIT, May 11 (KUNA) -- Minister of Education Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabaei expressed great pride on Sunday in the outstanding achievements recently made by the Ministry of Education students in an international robotics award. In a press release, Al-Tabtabaei extended his congratulations to the Faltech Robotics team for winning the Judges' Award at the 2025 VEX Robotics World Championship after delivering an exceptional performance, and to the students of Umm Kalthum Bint Mohammad Middle School for winning the Best Theatrical Idea Award. He noted that the team's excellence at the VEX Championship, despite intense competition from over 1,200 teams representing 60 countries, demonstrates Kuwait's leading position in robotics and programming. The ministry has also set up WhatsApp hotlines (22304424 and 22304425) to receive reports from school administrations and the public, ensuring quick responses to any issues. Kuwait to finalize deal with OECD for comprehensive education reform
KUWAIT CITY, March 19: The Ministry of Education affirmed on Wednesday its continued efforts to finalize a contract with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) to implement a comprehensive plan aimed at enhancing Kuwait's education system in line with the best international standards and practices. In a press statement, the ministry explained that this initiative aligns with the directives of Minister of Education Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabaei, who is committed to improving the quality of education, refining curricula, and qualifying teachers according to the latest educational methods. The team will include the Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Development and Activities, the Director of the Curriculum Development Department, the Director of the Coordination and Follow-up Department for Public Education, the Director of the Public Relations and Educational Media Department, and the General Supervisors for Mathematics, Science, and English Language. Also included in the team will be the Acting Director of the Educational Affairs Department in the Farwaniya Educational District. The ministry reiterated its unwavering commitment to improving the quality of education and developing curricula to create an educational system that meets modern challenges.
