Dubai Police has unveiled the Defender HSE P400 as the latest addition to its luxury patrol fleet, marking the first time the Defender model joins its ranks. The announcement came on the opening day of the World Police Summit at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Supplied by Al Tayer Motors, the exclusive UAE dealer for Land Rover, the high-performance SUV was introduced in a ceremony led by Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations at Dubai Police. Senior officials from the police force and Al Tayer Motors were also present. The Defender HSE P400 boasts a range of advanced features, including a panoramic sunroof, 3D surround camera, interactive driver display, and matrix LED headlights. Its off-road capabilities are enhanced by systems such as configurable terrain response, all-terrain progress control, and wade sensing. Major General Al Ghaithi praised the strategic collaboration with Al Tayer Motors and emphasized the importance of equipping patrol units with state-of-the-art vehicles to maintain public safety. Legal action has been taken, and the suspects have been referred to the relevant authorities. Major General Al Ghaithi stressed the importance of keeping stadiums safe and respectful, urging fans to avoid unruly behaviour. He also praised the efforts of police teams in maintaining order and providing security at stadiums, warning that any breach of fan conduct or safety rules will be met with firm legal action. In a related move, the UAE Football Association's Disciplinary Committee has issued fines following its review of the incident: Shabab Al Ahli Club was fined AED 70,000 for fans verbally abusing rival supporters and throwing bottles onto the pitch and at other fans.
