17 open-air sites ready for Eid Al Adha prayers
Dr. Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futtais Al Hajeri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council, has announced that Eid Al Adha prayers will be held at official mosques and designated open air prayer areas under the Directorate's supervision on Friday June 6, at 5:00 a.m., in observance of the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). A dedicated committee formed by Dr. Shaikh Al Hajeri identified the main prayer sites, including those designated for expatriate communities in selected schools across the Kingdom. The committee confirmed the locations and closures as follows: East Hidd 1. Prayer Area in East Hidd (Hayy Al Julaiah); Closures include Al Noor Prayer Area (Kooheji), Fatima bint Fahad Al Musallam Mosque, Ahmed Abdullah Al Khaja Mosque, and Mohammed bin Mohammed Ahmadi Mosque. 2. Prayer Area in Hidd (Block 111); Closure of Prince Khalifa bin Salman Park Mosque. Diyar Al Muharraq 3. Prayer Area in Diyar Al Muharraq (southern parking area at Souq Al Baraha); Souq Al Baraha Mosque to be closed. Muharraq 4. Prayer Area in Muharraq (near Muharraq Cemetery); Closures include Hamad bin Ali Kanoo Mosque, Al Ghawy Mosque, Dhabiya bint Rashid Mosque in Busaiteen, and Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al Mahmeed Mosque in Dohat Arad. Busaiteen 5. Prayer Area in Busaiteen (Sahil Al Sayah); Closure of Ummahat Al Mu'mineen Mosque (near Muharraq Municipality). Salmaniya 6. Prayer Area in Salmaniya; No surrounding mosques will be closed. Northern Riffa 7. Prayer Area in Northern Riffa (near Al Estiqlal Walkway); Closures include Abu Al Fateh Mosque and Al Rahim Mosque. Eastern Riffa 8. Prayer Area in Eastern Riffa (Riffa Fort); Closures include Al Qal'ah Mosque, Shaikha Lulwa bint Faris Al Khalifa Mosque, Shaikh Salman Mosque (Riffa Market), and Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Ghatam Mosque. Hajiyat 9. Prayer Area in Hajiyat (Road 2930, Block 929); Closure of Shaikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Abdulwahab Al Khalifa Mosque. 10. Prayer Area in Hajiyat (Mega Mart parking area, Road 3918, Block 939); No surrounding mosques will be closed. Askar 11. Prayer Area in Askar (Heritage Village); No surrounding mosques will be closed. Zallaq 12. Prayer Area in Zallaq (Tamkeen Youth Centre Square); No surrounding mosques will be closed. Hamad Town 13. Prayer Area in Hamad Town (Roundabout 17, opposite Hamad Kanoo Health Centre); Closures include Zainal Mosque, Musab bin Umair Mosque, Isa Mohammed Ali Mosque, and Muawiyah bin Abi Sufyan Mosque. 14. Prayer Area in Hamad Town (Youth Centre at Roundabout 2); Closures include Hamad Town Mosque and Ramla bint Abi Sufyan Mosque. Budaiya 15. Prayer Area in Budaiya (Eid Prayer Area); Closure of Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Mousa Mosque. Salman City 16. Prayer Area in Salman City (northern shore square, Road 8101, Block 581); Closures include Mohammed Abdullah Bahloul and his wife Fatima Al Khaja Mosque, and Salman City Kabinah Mosques (Nos. 1 and 3) New Ramli Housing 17. Prayer Area in New Ramli Housing; Closure of Moza bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi Mosque. The Directorate said all sites are fully prepared with carpets, electronic and electrical equipment, sound systems, water, and other necessities. Inspection teams from the maintenance and engineering departments have worked to ensure worshippers' comfort.

Sunni Endowments Directorate Announces Eid Al Fitr Prayer Locations Across Bahrain
Manama: Dr. Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futtais Al Hajeri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council, has announced the designated locations for Eid Al Fitr prayers, which will take place at both official mosques and open-air prayer areas under the Directorate's supervision. The prayers are scheduled for the morning of Eid, corresponding to the first of Shawwal 1446 AH, at 5:50 a.m., in accordance with the Sunnah of the Prophet Mohamed (PBUH). According to Bahrain News Agency, the Directorate has confirmed its preparedness to welcome worshippers across all governorates of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Specific prayer areas have been prepared and allocated, with a committee led by Dr. Shaikh Al Hajeri identifying the main sites, including those designated for expatriate communities in schools throughout the Kingdom. The committee has detailed the locations and any closures as follows: 1. East Hidd (Hayy Al Julaiah): Al Noor Prayer Area (Kooheji), Fatima bint Fahad Al Musallam Mosque, and Ahmed Abdullah Al Khaja Mosque will be closed. 2. Bahrain's Sunni Endowments Council Announces Eid al-Fitr Prayer Arrangements
The Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council, Sheikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futtais Al Hajri, has announced that Eid al-Fitr prayers will be held at designated prayer grounds and mosques across Bahrain on the morning of Eid, the first of Shawwal 1446 AH, at exactly 5:50 AM. The administration has confirmed that Eid prayer sites across the Kingdom are fully prepared to welcome worshippers. A special committee, formed by Sheikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futtais Al Hajri, has identified the main locations where the prayers will be held, including designated areas for expatriate communities in various schools across Bahrain. Following a dedicated meeting, the committee has outlined the distribution of prayer sites as follows: 1. East Hidd (Hay Al-Julai'a) – The Noor Prayer Ground (Al-Kooheji Mosque), Fatima bint Fahd Al-Muslim Mosque, and Ahmed Abdullah Al-Khaja Mosque will be closed. 2. Hidd City (Block 111) – No nearby mosques will be closed. 3. Muharraq (near Muharraq Cemetery) – Hamad bin Ali Kanoo Mosque, Al-Ghawi Mosque, and Thabiya bint Rashid Mosque in Busaiteen (Areef) will be closed. 4. Busaiteen (Sayah Beach) – The Mothers of the Believers Mosque (near Muharraq Municipality) will be closed. 5. Arad (Arad Fort) – No nearby mosques will be closed. 6. Diyar Al Muharraq (southern parking lot of Souq Al Baraha) – Souq Al Baraha Mosque will be closed. 7. Salmaniya – No nearby mosques will be closed. 8. North Riffa (near Independence Walk) – Abu Al-Fateh Mosque will be closed. 9. East Riffa (Riffa Fort) – Al-Qalaa Mosque, Sheikha Lulwa bint Fares Al Khalifa Mosque, Sheikh Salman Mosque (Riffa Souq Mosque), and Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Khalifa Al-Ghatam Mosque will be closed. 10. New Ramli Housing – Moza bint Ahmed Al-Rumaihi Mosque will be closed. The administration confirmed that all necessary preparations, including carpets, electronic and electrical equipment, sound systems, and water facilities, have been arranged to ensure a smooth prayer experience. A dedicated field team from the maintenance and engineering services department has been deployed to oversee these preparations. The Sunni Endowments Council extended its sincere gratitude to various government entities that contributed to the preparations, including the Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs, Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Information, General Sports Authority, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Youth Affairs, Electricity and Water Authority, King Hamad Hospital, Bahrain Defence Force, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Housing, Ministry of Works, and public hospitals, along with community organizations and expatriate guidance centers.

Sunni Endowments Directorate Designates 32 Mosques as Jamea for Ramadan Friday Prayers

These mosques will host Friday prayers starting from the first Friday of the month to accommodate the increased number of worshippers during this sacred period.
