Al Thiqa Club wins Futsal League for the hearing impaired
Arman Mohammed Rashid scores 5 goals Arman Mohammed Rashid led the charge for Al Thiqa Club, scoring five of the team's seven goals in the final. His teammate Abdullah Omar Ahmed added two goals, helping the team secure the top spot in the league with a perfect 24 points from eight consecutive wins across both rounds of the tournament. Abu Dhabi Club for People of Determination in second place Abu Dhabi Club for People of Determination finished in second place with 18 points. Al Ain Club came third with 12 points, followed by Ajman Club in fourth place with four points, and Dubai Club for People of Determination in fifth with one point. Salem Al Hajri wins Best Player Award Salem Al Hajri of Abu Dhabi Club was named Best Player of the League, while Mohammed Khamis Al Asai of Al Ain Club earned the Best Goalkeeper Award. Ajman Club was recognized with the Outstanding Team Award for their overall performance and sportsmanship. Titles from previous 11 editions The first 11 editions of the Futsal League for the Hearing Impaired saw titles shared among three clubs. Abu Dhabi Club secured four titles from 2012–2013 to 2015–2016, Al Ain Club won three from 2016–2017 to 2018–2019, and Dubai Club for People of Determination claimed four titles between 2019–2020 and 2023–2024. Crowning ceremony of the top three teams The awards and crowning ceremony took place after the final match in the presence of several distinguished guests. These included Jumaa Al Nuaimi, Board Member of the Paralympic Committee; Abdullah Saleh Al Naqbi, Chairman of Khorfakkan Club's Board of Directors; Theeban Salem Al Muhairi, Secretary-General of the Paralympic Committee; Imran Al Jasmi, representing the Sharjah Sports Council; Mohammed Al Qaed, Acting Executive Director of Al Thiqa Club; and Engineer Youssef Mohammed Al Doubi, a member of Al Thiqa Club's Board of Directors.

UAE champions win 44 medals at Sharjah Paralympic Championships
Impressive medal count by UAE athletes During the first two days of the competition, UAE champions won a total of 44 medals, including 13 golds, 16 silvers, and 15 bronzes. Notable achievements include 5 gold medals by Al Thiqa Club, 3 golds by Khorfakkan Club, and 2 golds by both Dubai and Al Ain Clubs, among other outstanding performances. World records set by athletes Several athletes set new world records during the competition, including Belgian Maxime Karabin in the men's 1500m, 200m, and 100m T52 races, and Tunisian Walid Ktila in the 1500m T34 race. Organisers praise successful championship Dr. Khalid Omar Al Midfa, Chairman of Al Thiqa Club for the Disabled, attributed the championship's success to the teamwork and continuous dedication of all organizing committees. He emphasized the importance of leadership support, particularly from His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in making Sharjah a global hub for disabled sports. Sharjah's role as a global sports destination Yousef Mohammed Al Dobi, Championship Director, highlighted the significant role Sharjah plays in attracting international sports events for athletes with disabilities. He noted the great public and media interaction and praised the professional organizing teams, which ensured the safety, comfort, and success of the event, also promoting cultural and sports exchanges with global champions.
