'Ranbir Kapoor Kissed Me': Anuv Jain Recalls Meeting Actor, Calls Him 'Brilliant'
Anuv Jain talked about Ranbir Kapoor's 2015 movie Tamasha and revealed how the movie changed his life.
Singer Anuv Jain recently appeared on Ranveer Allahbadia's podcast, where he discussed Ranbir Kapoor's 2015 movie Tamasha and shared how the film changed his life. The singer admitted that when he first watched the film during his college days, he didn't like it. However, when he watched it again years later during his job, he understood the film's concept and fell in love with it.
'The character Ved is me. I was going to work, trying to make a difference, but I could see it was not going to happen, as my destiny and strengths were better applied elsewhere, like music. Main bohot miserable tha life mein. Dusri baar jab maine movie dekhi thi, I was contemplating changing my career to music. I saw that movie again, and the next day I put down my papers. It changed my life. I am not a crier, but when I saw Ranbir's character come to work, maine udhase se rona shuru kiya till the end. I was just crying because I could draw so many parallels. It changed my life," Anuv Jain said.
The 'Husn' singer further recalled his recent meeting with Ranbir Kapoor. He shared that the actor was very warm and told him that he and his actress wife, Alia Bhatt, often play his music at home. 'He is a tall guy, and he kissed me on my head. He said, 'Bro, I am so happy that you feel that way about the movie.' That made my day. He is my favourite actor. Very few times do you meet an artist who legitimately changes your life, and through his acting, he changed mine," he added.
Anuv Jain said that he spent a few minutes not just with Ranbir but with Alia too. 'I hope I get a chance to sing something with them. They are brilliant actors," he shared.
