Sadly, the concert was canceled, as the rocker is reportedly battling a systemic infection, and doctors told him he could not go on. Fans must be heartbroken, as the statement also made clear that there would be no makeup date for the group. Those who love the hitmaking act will not have a chance to see the musicians play live together one more time, as the end has come for the band. In anticipation of what was supposed to be one of the most exciting concerts of the year, fans across the United Kingdom spent the past few weeks consuming many of ELO's albums and compilations, and even one of Lynne's own solo projects. This week's charts show just how beloved the group still is. Five ELO Albums Return to the Charts Five albums by ELO appear on at least one chart apiece in the U.K. this week. All of them live on the Official Album Downloads list, as it appears that many longtime lovers of the group wanted to own the group's albums and compilations, and wanted to do so quickly. All five projects have to reenter every tally on which they appear, including the downloads list, as they hadn't been present before anticipation of the act's final show reached a fever pitch. Two ELO Compilations Hit New Peaks Two ELO projects — All Over the World: The Very Best of ELO and The Essential: Electric Light Orchestra — don't just break back onto the Official Album Downloads chart, they hit new high points. The former stalls one spot away from running the show, while The Essential comes in at No. 20. Jeff Lynne Scores a Solo Win Lynne earns a new solo success alongside ELO's many comebacks. The rock musician's Long Wave arrives on the Official Album Downloads chart at No. 25. The title's debut in between several of ELO's compilations earns Lynne his first appearance on the tally. "Mr. Blue Sky" Mounts a Comeback Just one smash hit by ELO appears on any chart in the U.K. this week. "Mr. Blue Sky," which remains a fan favorite, returns to the Official Singles Downloads list at No. 59 and the Official Singles Sales tally at No. 63. The cut hits a new loftiest placement on the general sales roster as it returns.

Thanks to the two projects the band produced during the few years it was together — and the superstars who formed it — the Traveling Wilburys truly put the 'super' in supergroup. The band included George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, and Roy Orbison. Expectations were high before the act debuted, and the celebrated composers and songwriters didn't miss with either of the two albums released between 1988 and 1990. Decades after the band split, the first of those titles is enjoying a sudden surge in activity, as fans in the United Kingdom continue to purchase it and show their love. Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1 Debuts Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1 opens at No. 32 on the Official Album Downloads chart this week. The project becomes just the second release from the supergroup that has appeared on the ranking, which looks only at the most successful titles on platforms like iTunes and Amazon within the U.K. Almost 20 Years Since Its Last Appearance It's been almost two decades since the Traveling Wilburys last showed up on the Official Album Downloads chart. Collection, which the group released long after it was no more, hit No. 2 on that tally after debuting in the summer of 2007. A Triple Chart Return for the Wilburys As Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1 debuts on the downloads list, it also reenters both the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums charts, landing at Nos. 77 and 93, respectively. The full-length reaches a new high point on the Official Albums Sales ranking as it finds its way back. The full-length opened at No. 81 in February 2023 and is now back and bigger than ever. A Companion Collection Reappears Fans of the Traveling Wilburys — or followers of any of the five legendary musicians in the lineup — have also returned to the simply-titled Collection. As Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1 opens on the Official Album Downloads chart, Collection reappears on the same ranking, coming in just two spaces below the new arrival at No. 34. Collection originally opened in the runner-up spot in June 2007, when it ran on that tally for a month. The set returned a decade later, and now — eight years after that — it's back inside the top 40 once again.

Black Sabbath Debuts on the Downloads Chart Black Sabbath appears on this week's edition of the Official Albums Streaming chart, the ranking of the most successful projects on streaming platforms across the U.K. The group debuts at No. 84 with The Ultimate Collection, one of several compilations that currently appear on the musical rankings in the country. Despite immense popularity, even in the streaming era, Black Sabbath had never before found space on the 100-spot roster until this frame. Black Sabbath's The Ultimate Collection Hits a New Peak The Ultimate Collection appears to be one of the biggest winners in Black Sabbath's catalog this frame. As it debuts on the Official Albums Streaming chart, it also returns to five other lists at the same time. The project largely reenters in lower spots, though it does manage to hit a new peak at No. 56 on the Official Album Downloads tally. The compilation also approaches the top 10 on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart, coming in at No. 14. Six Black Sabbath Albums Chart The Ultimate Collection is one of six different albums by Black Sabbath that can be found on the U.K. charts right now. Several other projects like Paranoid, the group's self-titled release, and Greatest Hits find space on multiple tallies, while Master of Reality and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath only reappear on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart. All six of Black Sabbath's efforts take up space on that genre-specific ranking, with Paranoid jumping back into the top 10 and landing at No. 5, earning the band its highest placement this week.

Creedence Clearwater Revival's Chart Comeback Includes Both Albums And Songs

The rockers almost always hold space on the charts in the United States, appearing sometimes on Billboard tallies dedicated to albums and other times landing on lists that focus on songs as well. This week, Creedence Clearwater Revival returns not only to multiple rankings, but appears on different tallies with a pair of hugely successful titles. The band reappears highest on the Top Album Sales chart, the weekly list of the bestselling full-lengths and EPs throughout America. On that ranking, the group comes in at No. 50 with Chronicle: The 20 Greatest Hits. That set, which previously topped out at No. 10, has now spent well over a decade as one of the bestselling releases in the country, and it casually slips away and then reappears with regularity. In the past tracking frame throughout the U.S., Chronicle sold just over 2,000 copies, according to Luminate. Chronicle's performance on the Billboard charts is mixed this frame. As it returns to the Top Album Sales list, it rises on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums tally, holds steady on the Top Rock Albums ranking, and declines slightly on the Billboard 200. Just one of Creedence Clearwater Revival's tracks appears on a Billboard chart — and only barely. "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" reenters the Billboard Global 200 as it officially becomes one of the 200 most-consumed tracks all around the world. The cut narrowly manages to find space on the list, breaking back in at No. 199. If it can hold on just a while longer — only two more weeks — "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" will become Creedence Clearwater Revival's first track to spend a full year on the Billboard Global 200. One of just two tunes by the band to appear anywhere on the list, it already stands as the group's highest-rising win, having peaked at No. 92. Only "Fortunate Son" has also landed on the list, and it only spent one frame in second-to-last place in the summer of 2024 before disappearing.
