Guernsey earn second big win over Papua New Guinea
Guernsey completed their series against Papua New Guinea with another convincing win as they recorded a 113-run victory at the beaten the Papuans by nine wickets on Saturday, Guernsey were just as impressive a day later against a side who will play in the ICC Challenge League in Jersey this first, Guernsey made 274 all out from 48.3 overs as Alex Bushell hit 91 from 69 balls including seven sixes and six and Luke Bichard put on what proved to be a match-winning stand of 138 for the seventh wicket, before Bushell was one of Alei Nao's five victims when he was trapped lbw with less than four overs to went on to make an unbeaten 69 off 95 balls while Nao had figures of reply, Adam Martel was the pick of Guernsey's bowlers as he took 4-23, including the wicket of opener Sese Bau who had an impressive knock of 89 off 87 Bau's team-mates could not back him up with just two Papua New Guinea batters reaching double figures as, for the second successive day, they struggled against Guernsey's attack. Evan Le Huray and Tom Nightingale each took two wickets as Papua New Guinea were bowled out for 161 with 10 overs to spare.
