Police have launched an urgent search for a missing East Lothian pensioner.
Alexander Sands, 85, has been reported missing from Tranent and was last seen in the Market View area of the town around 2.15pm on Friday, August 15.
The 85-year-old is described as around 5ft 5in tall, of slim build, with a bald head and grey beard. He was wearing a grey and blue jumper, grey trousers and a flat cap when last seen and he uses a walking stick.
Alexander has links to the Portobello area and often travels by bus.
Inspector Ali Bruce said: "Concerns are growing for Alexander's welfare and we are keen to make sure he is safe and well.

'I would urge anyone who has seen him, or who has any information about where he might be, to contact us as soon as possible.'
