Red Army Watches unveils two spectacular new timepieces
Looks like it's been a busy month for watch retailers Red Army Watches in this neck of the woods! They have just unveiled two spectacular new timepieces with the Bella & Alla from Alexander Shorokhoff – a tribute of love to the watchmaker's beloved wife – and also a wonderful collaboration between Japanese watchmakers TACS and German camera icon, Rollei. Meanwhile, not to be outdone, Roger Dubuis has also unleashed its new Excalibur Biretrograde Calendar, the very first timepiece with a distinctive biretrograde display. This actually features two hands, each moving along a semi-circular scale and then immediately returning to zero at the end of their cycle. Bella & Alla – Alexander Shorokhoff The case's black PVD coating lends the automatic watch a sophisticated appearance. As many of us already know so well, love can be expressed in countless ways: with a gift of radiant blooms, through heartfelt words or the sincerest acts of affection. Looks like Alexander Shorokhov, founder and namesake of the Alexander Shorokhoff watch brand, has done all of these for his wife Alla! That's why the resulting Bella & Alla timepiece – limited to only 13 exclusive pieces – is not just a watch, but a symbol of his boundless love for her. With a bouquet of flowers in the form of a watch, lovingly hand-painted with delicate blossoms, he presents her a lasting reminder of their shared love that will blossom forever. The floral pattern is first punched and etched into the correct shape with utmost precision. This is followed by intricate hand engraving, which brings every detail of the flowers to life. Bella & Alla, Alexander Shorokhov's latest symbol of his boundless love for his wife, Alla. Its dial is finished in precious yellow gold, while enamel is applied by hand for added vibrancy to each petal. The case's black PVD coating lends the automatic watch a sophisticated appearance. To achieve this precise and delicate work, the case must remain free of any fittings during the enameling process. Each colour is then applied at different intervals and carefully dried, resulting in a unique and detailed finish. The hour and minute hands of yellow gold colour complete the unique character of this model. Powered by a Swiss automatic movement featuring a hand-engraved and refined oscillating weight, blued screws and 21 jewels, it offers a power reserve of approximately 47 hours and allows a view through the round sapphire crystal caseback. The watch industry often comes up with rather interesting collaborations with makes from other high-precision industries. As such a partnership between a watchmaker and a camera manufacturer is not all that unexpected. That's why the ATL Rollei is more than just a watch; it's more like a journey through time and imagery. The TACS ATL Rollei's unconventional look is inspired by the long-running and distinctive Rolleiflex camera. Limited to just 500 units, camera enthusiasts will be immediately aware that this watch's unconventional lines are inspired by the long-running and distinctive Rolleiflex camera series. Every detail of TACS' ATL Rollei is crafted with care: From the iconic twin-lens design to the Rolleiflex logo at 12 o'clock and the founders' names, Paul Franke and Reinhold Heidecke, at 6 o'clock – they all celebrate the special partnership between TACS and Rollei. The case is equipped with diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating for superior strength and scratch resistance, while upgraded luminous materials ensure excellent visibility in low-light conditions. The caseback of ATL Rollei – TACS. Made at ATL's watchmaking studio in the Nagano province of Japan, the watch celebrates both tradition and innovation, and also features a handcrafted leather strap that's made from premium Mexican leather. Thus it is both soft and durable, designed for absolute everyday comfort. Excalibur Biretrograde Calendar – Roger Dubuis A tribute to Roger Dubuis' very first watch, the Sympathie EasyDiver − known as the first-ever tourbillon sports watch − now has been reimagined through refined design and expressive mechanics with the Excalibur Biretrograde Calendar, a watch that brings together heritage, innovation and bold aesthetics in perfect harmony. The 40mm case, bezel, crown and caseback are made entirely from 18K pink gold. The case also features all the signature design details of the Excalibur models, such as the notched bezel and the three-lug design. The pink gold-plated calendar display of the Roger Dubuis Excalibur stands out with its bold symmetry, enhanced by black transferred text and the minimalistic dot indicators. The strap is made from premium calf leather, chosen in line with Roger Dubuis' non-exotic materials policy. A silver-plated double-surface flange frames the dial, while resting on the satin-brushed silver base lies the pink gold-plated hour markers with white Super-LumiNova. The centre features elegant mother-of-pearl inserts at 12 and 6 o'clock. The watch has the in-house automatic Calibre RD840, a new movement created to honour the maison's biretrograde tradition. Featuring a day-date complication, it has been hand-finished to meet the prestigious Poinçon de Genève standard. The oscillating weight is also a modern reinterpretation of the 1996 original, now joined by the quote, 'This is a watch of today, inspired but not restricted to the past, projected into a future that belongs to us.' This aptly reflects the vision and values of the brand's two founders.

Alexander Shorokhoff's New 'Bella & Alla' Is Next-Level Timepiece Drip!
Love can be expressed in countless ways: through a delicate flower, the powerful words 'I love you', or sincere acts of affection. And that is precisely what Alexander Shorokhov has done! In a beautiful gesture of devotion, he dedicated this watch, named 'Bella & Alla', to his wife Alla. This watch is not just a timepiece but a symbol of his boundless love for her. With a bouquet of flowers in the form of a watch, lovingly hand-painted with delicate blooms, he presents her with a reminder of their shared love that will forever flourish. The 'Bella & Alla' is undoubtedly a true masterpiece. The floral pattern was initially stamped and etched into the appropriate shape with utmost precision. This was followed by elaborate hand engravings, bringing each detail of the flowers to life and emphasising their authenticity. Only after this meticulous process was the dial refined with elegant yellow gold, and then the enamel was applied by hand, giving each petal an unparalleled vibrancy. The case embodies true craftsmanship and attention to detail. Finished with an elegant black PVD coating, it radiates refined sophistication. One of its standout features is the construction of the lugs: these are meticulously welded to the case back after the central case segment has undergone a highly intricate enamelling process. Along the sides, three fine recesses are hand-filled with delicate pastel enamel – each colour precisely applied in timed intervals and carefully dried. This elaborate process creates a vibrant, artistic finish that mirrors the dial's colour palette. To allow for this level of detail, the enamelling must be performed on a case without lugs, ensuring absolute precision and purity in the design. To perform this fine and precise work, a lug-free case is required. Each colour is carefully applied in different time intervals and then dried, creating a unique and detailed finish. The hour and minute hands are yellow-gold, matching the elegant dial. A luxurious alligator leather strap in vibrant fuchsia red, complemented by an engraved solid stainless steel pin buckle, was specially selected for this model to highlight its unique character. The watch is powered by a high-quality Swiss automatic movement with a hand-engraved and refined rotor, blued screws, and 21 jewels. It boasts a power reserve of approximately 47 hours and offers a view through the round sapphire crystal case back, unlike other models with the same case, which feature four colourful crystals. With a strict limitation of only 13 pieces, this model will not be available forever. However, the love and appreciation that Alexander Shorokhov expresses to his wife through this watch will live on forever. Alexander Shorokhoff watches are available at Red Army Watches boutiques located at 1Utama Shopping Centre or Pavilion KL & online at
