Turkish-Egyptian Religious Leaders Meet in New Capital

By Ahmad El-Assasy Prof. Ali Erbaş, President of Religious Affairs of Türkiye, visited the Islamic Cultural Center and the Egypt Mosque located in the New Administrative Capital of Egypt. The visit took place in the company of His Excellency Dr. Osama El Ezheri, Minister of Endowments of Egypt, who hosted the delegation. Saudi Arabia, Türkiye sign MoU to promote Islamic moderation, combat extremism

Saudi Gazette report RIYADH — Saudi Arabia and Türkiye have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in the field of Islamic affairs, with a focus on promoting moderation and combating extremist ideologies. The MoU was signed by Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Sheikh, and Dr. Ali Erbaş, President of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye. The agreement outlines joint efforts to highlight the values of tolerance and moderation in Islam, while countering extremism, fanaticism, and terrorism. The cooperation includes sharing information, expertise, and best practices, as well as organizing joint conferences, seminars, and meetings, and coordinating positions in international Islamic forums. Officials said the MoU reflects the strong bilateral ties between Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, and both countries' commitment to activating collaboration across various sectors, particularly religious affairs.
