4 Tigers pick up All-ACC honors

CLEMSON, S.C. (WSPA) – Four members of the Clemson men's basketball team picked up All-ACC honors after a historic season that saw the Tigers post a record number of wins. Chase Hunter and Ian Schieffelin got nods from the All-Conference teams while Jaeden Zackery and Viktor Lakhin were recognized by the league Monday. Senior guard Hunter received his first postseason honor after being named to the All-ACC First Team. The honor makes it three years straight a Tiger has earned the award (PJ Hall, 2024; Hunter Tyson, 2023). Hunter leads Clemson in scoring with 16.0 points per game, 2.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.4 blocks. He is one of just two players in the country to average 16 points and shoot at least .470/.410/.870 from the field, three and free throw line. The Atlanta, Georgia-native is just two points behind sixth all-time at Clemson in scoring with 1,724 points. He is sixth all-time in assists (430). Schieffelin went from last year's league Most Improved Player to earning a spot on the All-ACC Second Team in his senior season. He is averaging a career-best 12.9 points per game to go with 9.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game. Schieffelin's 11 double-doubles this season has put him on pace for another 300 rebound season. He is currently seventh in school history with 852 rebounds in a career. Boston College transfer Zackery was named to the ACC All-Defensive Team and comes in third in the league in steals (61) with an average 1.97 per game. His 61 steals so far is 10th all-time in school history for a single season. Lahkin picked up an All-ACC Honorable Mention after posting a career-high 11.6 points per game and a 38.3% three-point percentage. He also posted career numbers on defense with 49 blocks and 32 steals.
