K-Pop Demon Hunters' HUNTRIX Makes History With 656 Perfect All-Kill Record

Not BTS or BLACKPINK, but the fictional girl group HUNTR/X (Huntrix) from Netflix's hit animated film KPop Demon Hunters. Directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, the film's storyline and its soundtrack, including songs like Golden, Soda Pop and Your Idol, quickly became a fan favourite upon its release. The tracks have become such a global phenomenon that they have shattered records previously held by K-pop bigwigs like BTS and NewJeans. Since the release of KPop Demon Hunters on Netflix on June 20, the trio of Huntrix, Rumi, Zoey and Mira has taken over the global playlists. As reported by Pinkvilla, their catchy hit Golden, originally performed by Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, has now surpassed the record previously held by the popular K-pop girl group NewJeans. On Monday, August 11, at 10 AM KST, the song scored 656 Perfect All-Kills (PAKs), overtaking NewJeans' 2022 hit Ditto, which has the most number of hourly PAKs. If all goes well and in favour of the fictional K-pop girl group, there is a possibility that Golden might surpass the 700 PAK mark pretty soon. Other Artists To Have Perfect All-Kills Following the two K-pop girl groups is the supergroup BTS, which sits third on the list, having 610 PAKs for its song Dynamite. Other renowned K-pop artists on the chart are IU with 462 PAKs for her song Celebrity, followed by IVE with 359 PAKs for their song I AM. Next on the list is again IU for the track Love Wins All, with a PAK of 339. ZICO is also on the chart with a score of 330 for Any Song, and lastly, aespa, with 317 PAKs, is on the list for their song Supernova. What's A Perfect All-Kill? For those new to K-pop lingo, a Perfect All-Kill refers to a song that ranks No. 1 on all major Korean music charts, including Melon, Genie Music, YouTube Music, FLO, VIBE, and Bugs, across both daily and real-time categories.
