Three arrested for sexual assault on minor girl
The All Women Police, Kancheepuram, have apprehended a 22-year-old youth and two schoolboys for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl in a village near Kancheepuram. Police sources said the girl was studying at a government school and had discontinued her schooling. She was reportedly working at a beauty parlour. The trio befriended her. On Sunday, they spiked her drink and gave it to her. While she was intoxicated, they sexually assaulted her, the police said. Later, her parents lodged a complaint with the police. She was given medical assistance and counselling. A case was booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The 22-year-old youth was remanded in judicial custody and the two boys were sent to Government Observation Home.

Two held for sodomising 5-year-old boy
Trichy: Two men were arrested on Friday for abducting and raping a five-year-old boy near Trichy. They were booked under various sections of BNS and Pocso Act. The prime accused, F Naser Ali, 31, is the owner of a restaurant where the victim's mother worked for the past three months. The 29-year-old woman stopped working recently after he allegedly asked her to work for extended hours. In the early hours of Thursday, Naser Ali and his friend K Velumani took the woman's son in their car under the pretext of taking him for a ride. Around noon, they called the woman and told her that they were holding his son at a place near Thiruverumbur. When she went there, she found her son severely injured. The child told her that the men sexually assaulted him. The woman filed a complaint with All Women Police, Thiruverumbur, which arrested Naser Ali and Velumani on Friday. They were booked under BNS sections 139 (abducting a child), 127 (wrongful restraint), 351 (criminal intimidation) and five sections of Pocso Act for aggravated penetrative sexual assault. The men were produced before a magistrate and remanded in judicial custody. Further investigation is under progress. The child is currently under treatment.
