WAMY Launches 11th Medical Convoy to Maroua, Cameroon
The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) has dispatched its 11th medical convoy to Maroua, Cameroon, led by a specialized team of ophthalmologists and eye surgeons. During the mission, the team successfully performed 330 eye surgeries, including cataract extractions and treatments for various ocular conditions. In addition, they carried out 842 medical examinations—such as vision screenings—and provided comprehensive treatment plans for patients, particularly in underserved and remote regions. This initiative is part of WAMY's broader health outreach across Africa, reaffirming its commitment to humanitarian service and sustainable development by supporting vulnerable communities and easing their medical hardships. Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University has achieved the top ranking in Saudi Arabia and placed 29th globally out of 2,318 institutions in the 'Quality Education' category, according to the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings. The university also secured second place nationally in the 'Reducing Inequalities' index and ranked among the top 200 universities worldwide in this category. Furthermore, it was listed among the top 300 globally in several other critical areas, including 'Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions,' 'Clean Water and Sanitation,' and 'Decent Work and Economic Growth.'
