A KILLER paedophile slashed a rapist across the face during a vicious fight between three monsters at one of Scotland's toughest prisons, according to insiders.
Charles O'Neill, 63, pulled a weapon after a brutal fight broke out between jailed sex predator Steven Noon, 43, and domestic abuser Daniel Esslemont, 33, at HMP Edinburgh.

The killer is serving a minimum of 30 years along with lover William Laughlan for the horrific murder of Allison McGarrigle.
along with fellow pervert William Lauchlan, allegedly cut Noon's face before prison guards could intervene on July 17 this year.
A source told The Scottish Sun on Sunday: 'There was a slashing between three high-profile prisoners.
'The guy Steven Noon was fighting with Daniel Esslemont. The pair were seen arguing, when the situation escalated and they started shoving each other.

'Screws tried to stop it by shouting but they couldn't de-escalate the situation. It turned more violent.
'The fight turned into a struggle and they dropped to the floor.
'Then a guy, Charlie O'Neill - he's doing life, got involved in the fight. He lost the plot. He went up and slashed Noon across the face.
'It was bad - it turned into a riot.'

It's understood the three prisoners were separated following the incident at Hermiston House at the Saughton nick and that their recreation time was suspended.
Sources suspect a row over drugs may have led to the incident.

O'Neill and lover William Lauchlan were caged in 2010 for killing Allison McGarrigle, 39.
They dumped the mum's body at sea off Largs, Ayrshire, in 1997 after she threatened to tell cops they were molesting boys.

O'Neill had several previous convictions for child sex abuse.
Noon was sentenced to 16 years and six months' imprisonment in 2023.
He was found guilty of serious sexual assaults and assaults against a number of women in Edinburgh, East Lothian and Aberdeen areas between 1999 and 2021.
Daniel Esslemont was sentenced to 12 years in prison in 2022.

He was found guilty of serious domestic offences against three women between 2010 and 2021 at various locations throughout Aberdeen.
A Scottish Prison Service spokesperson said: 'We do not comment on individuals.'
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: 'We received a report of an assault at HMP Edinburgh, which happened on Thursday, 17 July, 2025.
'A 43-year-old man received treatment. A 63-year-old man was reported to the Procurator Fiscal.'
