Singer Cher's son Elijah Blue Allman hospitalised after drug overdose: Report
American singer Cher's son, Elijah Blue Allman, was reportedly rushed to hospital in California on June 14 for acting erratically. After Elijah's hospitalisation, his estranged wife, Marieangela King Allman, told a publication that she recognises his inner struggles. The report of Elijah's hospitalisation also comes against the backdrop of his rocky relationship with the 79-year-old singer over the a statement obtained by PEOPLE, authorities said, "Deputies from our Morongo Basin Station responded to a residence in Landers for a male subject acting erratically. When deputies arrived, Elijah Allman, 48, was being evaluated by emergency medical personnel (sic)."advertisementThe statement added that while Allman was transported to the hospital, deputies also located drugs inside the home and the investigation into the matter is ongoing. Elijah and Cher's representatives did not respond to a request for a comment by the publication on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Elijah's estranged wife said that it is true he has faced personal challenges in the past, but his unwavering commitment to sobriety and his loyalty to his loved ones has been constant. She expressed that Elijah continues to confront his inner struggles and does it from a place of strength and not also extended her support to him and said she will always root for him. 'My support is steadfast and comes from a place of deep respect for the person he is and the resilience he continues to show," she is Cher and Allman of 'Allman Brothers Band's' only son. The couple were married from 1975 to 1979 and welcomed Elijah in 1976. He is professionally known as P Exeter Blue and is one of the founding members of the metal band 'Deadsy'.Earlier in December 2013, Cher filed for a temporary conservatorship over Elijah's estate due to his declining mental health. However, she dismissed her petition in September 2024 after they eventually reached a private earlier spoke about her complicated relationship with Elijah while appearing on Dr Phil in 2004. "He and I have such a bizarre relationship. We've had so many strange moments. I don't really understand him. Somehow, Elijah and I kind of talk through osmosis," she said.
