An upcoming Netflix thriller you won't want to miss has just found its leading man from the wildly popular crime drama Gangs of London Netflix's highly anticipated thriller based on an acclaimed novel from an award-winning author has found its star. All the Sinners Bleed, by SA Cosby, was originally released in 2023 and follows the first Black sheriff of a small community in the Bible Belt. While dealing with a family tragedy, he's tasked with tracking down a serial killer who has been stalking his community for years. The streamer has now confirmed Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù, of Gangs of London and Black Rabbit fame, will lead the cast as the sheriff. Netflix 's adaptation comes from the mind of screenwriter Joe Robert Cole, who penned Ryan Coogler's hit Marvel films Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The drama is confirmed to consist of nine episodes, though a release date and further cast details have yet to be revealed. A synopsis reads: 'Haunted by his devout mother's untimely death, the first Black sheriff in a small Bible Belt county must lead the hunt for a serial killer who has quietly been preying on his Black community for years in the name of God.' Fans who can't wait for Netflix's new murder mystery series, which will follow this year's hits Untamed and Department Q, are urged to check out the original novel. NPR called Cosby 'one of the best-known names in the new, wonderfully diverse wave of crime fiction writers'. All the Sinners Bleed was also dubbed 'nothing short of phenomenal' by an avid reader on Reddit. 'This might just be the best crime thriller I've ever read and I've read some damn good ones,' they continued.
