Meet blockbuster characters at Glasgow Fort this summer
Children will have the opportunity to meet beloved movie characters at Glasgow Fort during the school holidays, with appearances inspired by films including Wicked, Jurassic World Rebirth, and Lilo & Stitch. The meet-and-greet events will run every weekend from July 19 to August 10 and will include appearances by Elphaba and Glinda from Wicked, "the Aloha Alien", and a dinosaur-themed show. (Image: Supplied) (Image: Supplied) Read more: Hollywood star reveals Glaswegian in running to be voice of Lidl's new self-checkouts All character appearances will take place outside Primark from 11am to 4pm on the following dates: July 19 – Superheroes, July 20 – Aloha Alien (Stitch-inspired character), July 26 and 27 – Dino Show (inspired by Jurassic World Rebirth), August 2 – Dragon Training, August 3 – Aloha Alien, August 9 and 10 – Wicked duo (Elphaba and Glinda). No booking is required, but visitors are advised to arrive early to avoid missing out. In addition to the meet-and-greet sessions, families can enjoy mini fairground rides, including trampolines, bumper cars, and a carousel. Discount tokens can be purchased from the pop-up hut near the rides, reducing the cost of all rides (except trampolines) to £2.50. Standard pricing is £3 per ride and £5 for trampolines. As well as the meet and greet sessions, families can make the most of the mini fairground rides at Glasgow Fort this summer, including trampolines, bumper cars, and a carousel, alongside a selection of much-awaited films showing on the big screen at Vue, including Smurfs, How to Train your Dragon, and Pixar's Elio. Visitors can purchase a discount token from the pop-up hut near the rides, which reduces the cost of all rides (excluding the trampolines) to £2.50. At standard price, rides are £3 and trampolines £5 per go.
