After Vincy Aloshious, another actor accuses Shine Tom Chacko of indecent behaviour
Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko has been accused of misconduct and indecent behaviour by 'Soothravakyam' actor, Aparna John. She claimed that he made explicit remarks with 'sexual connotations'. Earlier, Vincy Aloshious filed a complaint against Chacko for alleged drug use and misconduct on the sets of 'Soothravakyam'. Chacko has been given one final warning by the Kerala Film Chamber of fresh trouble, actor Aparna John, backed Aloshious' claims and said that what she said was "100 per cent correct." Aloshious, in her complaint, stated that she saw some white substance spilling out of his to a regional channel, Aparna John, who is currently in Australia, said, "White powder is all I can say as I cannot state with any authority as to what it was. It could have been glucose." However, she added that Shine Tom Chacko exhibited "a very abnormal and erratic" behaviour on the film sets."He displayed a high energy which we cannot match. He moved around constantly, was restless, said things which had no logical connections and if any woman was around, then his remarks were indecent. Like Aloshious said, his remarks had strong sexual connotations and were explicit. It was like verbal diarrhoea," she John stated that she felt uncomfortable around him. However, she told a member of the Internal Complaints Commiittee (ICC) on the set about how she felt on the sets with him."I immediately got a resolution. The entire crew made the effort to complete my scenes ahead of schedule, so that I could leave," she said she would have done something else if acting was a career like how it is for Aloshious. "But, I have limitations as I am here (Australia)," she Aloshious accused Chacko of misbehaving with her. The Kerala government, meanwhile, has said that it views the allegations against the actor seriously and its police and Excise departments were effectively intervening in the matter. The Ernakulam Additional Sessions Court had recently acquitted Chacko in a 2015 drug case, citing procedural lapses by the police during the seizure and arrest.
