Alpha-Omega Miracle Home secures $500K grant from Weaver Legacy Fund
Alpha-Omega Miracle Home in St. Augustine announced recently that it has received a grant that will help the nonprofit complete a housing project.
The organization was awarded a $500,000 matching grant from the Delores Barr Weaver Legacy Fund to support its Building a Better Tomorrow Capital Campaign. The funding will help construct 20 new apartments on a future campus that will expand transitional housing for single mothers, their children and senior women.
This new campus, which will be an extension of the existing facility, will triple Alpha-Omega's capacity for shelter and services for 100 additional women and children.
The Delores Barr Weaver Legacy Funds were established at The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida.
Every dollar donated will be matched through Sept. 1.
'This matching grant is a powerful blessing,' said Lisa Franklin, CEO of Alpha-Omega Miracle Home. 'We are deeply grateful to the Delores Barr Weaver Legacy Funds and The Community Foundation for this opportunity to multiply our efforts. With community support, we can continue turning homelessness into hope — one family at a time.'
Alpha-Omega Miracle Home is supported by a grant from the Delores Barr Weaver Legacy Funds.
