Man charged after car driven wrong way on M1 in Wakefield
A man has been charged in connection with an incident in which a car was allegedly driven the wrong way on the driver of a blue Audi A4 failed to stop for police on Friday, leading to a pursuit from Altofts to Stanley, back to Altofts and then the M62 and against the flow of traffic on the M1 northbound, according to West Yorkshire Audi came to a stop on the hard shoulder near the Sharp Lane bridge after suffering a Malik, 34, of Church Road, Altofts, was due to appear before Leeds Magistrates' Court on Monday charged with dangerous driving, failing to provide a specimen, driving without insurance and possession of Class A drugs, a force spokesperson said.
