Still need a Real ID? PA license centers will be open on Monday to get one
Six Pennsylvania driver license centers will be open Monday to issue Real ID cards.
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation driver license centers typically are closed on Mondays, but selected centers will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to exclusively process Real ID requests.
The new federally approved ID cards will be required to board commercial airline flights or enter a military base and other types of federal facilities beginning May 7.
A Real ID is not required to drive, vote, visit the post office, access federal court, or apply for or receive federal benefits, such as social security.
Open for the Real ID Day on March 3 will be:
Bridgeville Driver License Center, 1025 Washington Pike, Bridgeville;
Altoona Driver License Center, 1738A 9th Ave., Altoona;
Erie Driver License Center, 7200 Peach St., Suite 480, Erie;
Lancaster East Driver License Center, 2090 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster;
Whitehall Driver License Center, 1101 MacArthur Road, Allentown; and
King of Prussia Driver License Center, 143 South Gulph Road, King of Prussia.
Real IDs also are available during regular business hours at driver license centers statewide.

The following proofs of identification are required to obtain a Real ID:
Proof of identity: Original or certified copy of your birth certificate with a raised or embossed seal, or a valid passport or passport card.
Proof of social security: A social security card or a W-2 form, SSA-1099 form, non-SSA-1099 form or pay stub showing legal name and full social security number.
Two proofs of current address: A Pennsylvania driver's license or ID, a Pennsylvania vehicle registration, auto insurance card, or utility bill with the same name and address.
Proof of legal name change, if applicable: A certified marriage certificate, court order or adoption decree.
Fee for the Real ID is $30 plus a renewal fee of $39.50 for a driver's license or $42.50 for a photo ID.
