Cardi B to drop long-awaited second album Am I The Drama? in September
Cardi B will release her long-awaited second studio album, Am I The Drama?, on September 19. After warning she will "give them hell" on the follow-up to 2018's Invasion of Privacy, Cardi unveiled the title and release date for her next studio effort. The WAP rapper cautioned those who have done her wrong I'm "your tyrant", ahead of what looks set to be an explosive record. Cardi said in a voiceover shared on Instagram this week: 'Seven years and the time has come. Seven years of love, life and loss. Seven years I gave them grace, but now, I give them hell. I learned power is not given, it's taken. I'm shedding feathers and no more tears. I'm not back, I'm beyond. I'm not your villain, I'm your tyrant. The time is here. The time is now.' Last week, Cardi dropped the fiery tune Outside, on which she takes aim at her ex-husband Offset and mentions her new beau, NFL star Stefon Diggs. Cardi recently explained that the delay to her album was because the featured artists were yet to deliver the goods. During an Instagram Live in May, she said: 'I really need these f****** features. 'And it's like I'm not really trying to press or go crazy on these artists because I love them down. But it's like, come on now! I need that! I need that right now! Helloooo! Y'all don't want to miss this opportunity. I'll sing this s*** myself! But I really need y'all and I need y'all to hurry up and I love y'all. I feel like nobody want to miss being on this album.' Cardi - who has collaborated with the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, Bruno Mars, Lizzo and Migos in the past - revealed she worked with artists she has teamed up with before and some new faces, too. She went on: 'I don't have a lot of features, but I'm working with artists, some that I have worked with before and some that I haven't worked with before. And the ones that I have not worked with before, I feel like it's gonna really, really surprise y'all.' She teased: 'It's such a vibe. I'm 100 per cent confident with this album. I just don't think what I got is out there.'

Cardi B Announces Her Sophomore Album "Am I The Drama?"
"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links." Am I The Drama?, Cardi B's newest album, will finally be released on September 19. It's her first full length project since her breakout debut album Invasion of Privacy in 2018. It has not been revealed yet what collaborators or special guest features will appear on the project. Bardi is back, everyone! Cardi B's fans have been waiting quite literally years for the anticipated follow up to her breakout debut album Invasion of Privacy. Now it seems, the wait is finally over. On Monday, the Bronx-born rapper announced (to much internet fanfare) that her sophomore album titled Am I The Drama? will be released everywhere on September 19, 2025. In true Cardi B fashion, the accompanying album cover is already iconic. For the image, the rapper is dressed in a red bodysuit complete with a swooping attached hood, matching fishnet tights, and some majorly high platform pumps. To add to the drama, Cardi B is surrounded by flying crows and a cloudy sky while she strikes a pose. Cardi B teased the release one day prior for fans, releasing a teaser video clip that helped set the tone for what lies ahead for the upcoming album. Crows also appeared in the quick vignette, following Cardi as she struts through a romantic garden and even appearing on the bust of her black gown. She also released the first single from her sophomore effort last week, an upbeat single girls anthem titled 'Outside'. The rapper opened up to Rolling Stone last year about the long delay between her first album and Am I The Drama? stating that she wanted to ensure that the project she released would ultimately be up to not just her standards, but also fully reflect how she's evolved as an artist. She also welcomed three children with her now estranged husband, rapper Offset, in the time between Invasion of Privacy and now. 'I'm a different person every single day,' she told the outlet of the creative input that went into the record. 'When I'm in a good mood and I'm with my friends, [I'm] like, 'Damn, I want my shit to be played in this club.' But then I might be mad with my man, so it's like now I want to do this song. But then I want to do a pop record. I want to do my sing-y shit.' Here's to hoping it will be worth the wait. Watch this space for updates on Cardi B's second album.
