Extension of train services
East Coast Railway has notified the continuation of the running of Train Nos. 08581/08582 Visakhapatnam–SMVT Bengaluru–Visakhapatnam Weekly Special trains to clear the extra rush of passengers till June 30. These trains will continue to operate with their existing stoppages and timings, the release said. East Central Railway has notified the continuation of the running of Train Nos. 03251/03252 Danapur–SMVT Bengaluru–Danapur Bi-weekly Express Special and Train Nos. 03259/03260 Danapur–SMVT Bengaluru–Danapur Weekly Express Special to cater to the increased passenger demand. Accordingly Train No. 03251 Danapur–SMVT Bengaluru Bi-weekly Express Special, will now be extended from June 1 to 29. Similarly, Train No. 03252 SMVT Bengaluru–Danapur Bi-weekly Express Special, will now run from June 3 to July 1 Train No. 03259 Danapur–SMVT Bengaluru Weekly Express Special, will run from June 3 to 24. Likewise, Train No. 03260 SMVT Bengaluru–Danapur Weekly Express Special, will continue to run from June 5 to 26. South Central Railway has decided to permanently augment the coach composition of its Kondaveedu Express (Train No. 17211/17212) from 21 to 22 coaches and Amaravati Express trains (17225/17226) from 19 to 22 coaches., in a bid to enhance passenger capacity and cater to the growing demand

Miscreants steal gold, valuables from passengers on board Rayalaseema Express
Miscreants stole gold ornaments and other valuables from the passengers travelling in Nizamabad-Tirupati Rayalaseema Express (12794) near Gooty Junction railway station in Guntakal division of South Central Railway (SCR) zone at around 1.30 am on Tuesday. According to sources, the train halted at the outer signal of Gooty Junction railway station to give passage to the Amaravati Express. A group of five people stole valuables from seven passengers travelling in four sleeper coaches. The miscreants stole the valuables through the windows while the passengers were asleep in the side berths. The passengers lodged complaints with the Government Railway Police (GRP) officials after the train reached Tirupati railway station on Tuesday morning. 'The Guntakal GRP staff and Railway Protection Force (RPF) teams are conducting searches near Gooty railway station. Sniffer dogs have also been pressed into service,' SCR official spokesperson told The Hindu. 'The teams are collecting forensic samples. However, no clues have been found about the perpetrators yet,' the SCR offical said.
