This 'super convenient' lightweight leaf blower is only $51 for a limited time
Say the words "leaf blower" and I immediately think of crisp temperatures, weekend yard work and settling in for some college football. Yet, I use mine way more in the spring and summer — blowing buds off the patio, cars and driveway, clearing out the winter's worth of garage dirt and, most often, tidying up the sidewalks after mowing. Like most lawn tools, blowers vary wildly in price from less than I paid for brunch this weekend — for a super basic corded unit — to more than I paid for my first car (for the robot variety). Right now thanks to an Amazon Lightning deal you can snag a lightweight, cordless leaf blower with a charger and two batteries for about as cheap as they get, just $51. No more dragging an extension cord around your yard this summer. This well-reviewed electric leaf blower is nearly 30% off just in time for spring. At $51, we haven't seen it go any lower, and it's just a fraction of the price of other models — this popular Black and Decker is almost double the price. Leaf blowers make raking a thing of the past, but many models are heavy, and require you to drag around inconvenient power cords or blow off noxious exhaust. The Kimo offers a lightweight, clean-running, cordless alternative that makes tackling a leaf-filled deck or yard a breeze. Weighing in at just 2.7 pounds, the Kimo Leaf Blower is the welterweight champion of yard tools. It blows air at around 170 mph. For reference, the much higher-priced Black and Decker leaf blower hits only 130 mph. The Kimo is also relatively quiet for a leaf blower — while you'll definitely hear it, it clocks in at 70 decibels. That's roughly the same volume as a washing machine. You'll get around half an hour of use per charge — enough time to make a pretty good dent in those leaf piles. With over 2,300 five-star reviews, this affordable yard staple has Amazon shoppers' collective stamp of approval. More than a few happy customers praised the Kimo's features, including this five-star reviewer. "The lightweight design makes it easy to handle, and the variable speed settings let you adjust for different tasks. The extension tube adds extra reach, making it great for patios and hard-to-reach areas. Overall, it's a powerful and portable blower that gets the job done efficiently." "I was sick and tired of sweeping my walkway," said a reviewer who raved about everything from the batteries to the strength of the blower to its weight. "This leaf blower is very lightweight but also powerful. It is very easy to operate and does an amazing job at moving leaves and small debris from my walkway and near my house. I like how easy it is to charge the batteries. It comes with an extension tube to help get into small areas. The airspeed flow is very powerful and effective at getting the job done. I love how easy it is to charge the batteries and change them out." Another happy customer liked the accessories that came with the leaf blower, specifically the extension tube. "The extension tube is also a very useful tool, as it makes it possible to reach those hard-to-reach areas, and the adjustable speed settings allow me to control the airflow based on the job at hand." If you're looking for a whisper-quiet blower, it may be best to look elsewhere, said one four-star customer (if you find one, please let me know). "It's a little louder than I thought it would be, but not obnoxiously loud. Blows well, has great strength, battery charges pretty quickly and lasts long enough to do what needs [to be] done." While pretty burly for a battery-operated blower, don't expect it to be as powerful as a gas option. "I have a 600 sq ft garage with a large workbench and I didn't want to use my gas blower since it is larger, much heavier and produces carbon monoxide which can linger on those breeze-less days even though all the doors are open to provide ventilation. It is sufficient for blowing leaves and light debris off the porch and driveway." The reviews quoted above reflect the most recent versions at the time of publication. Snooze under the stars — this easy-to-inflate sleeping pad is on sale for $23
I don't mind roughing it, but that doesn't mean I want to wake up with a sore back. That's where an inflatable cushion like the Sleepingo Sleeping Pad comes in. It's designed to provide extra support during campouts, and right now it's down to $23 from $29 thanks to this Amazon Lightning deal. You can't put a price on comfort, even when you're sleeping outdoors. At $23, this is within a couple bucks of its lowest price ever. You know what they say: You snooze, you lose. (Or in this case, if you snooze that soundly, maybe you already won!) I've spent quite a few nights outside, and beyond a warm sleeping bag, my sleeping pad is the most important part of the equation when it comes to comfort. This sleeping pad uses diamond-shaped air cells that are designed to support pressure points all over your body, which means it'll do the job whether you're a side sleeper, a stomach sleeper or you prefer lying on your back. The pad rolls up into a small, water-bottle-size package and actually fits in the bag it comes in. It's lightweight — just 14 ounces! — making it easy to tote around. The whole thing inflates with only 10-13 breaths, so you won't find yourself dizzy when trying to set up camp (say, after a long hike). It's rated down to 32°F, so it'll keep you toasty, even if the ground you're sleeping on is not. It comes in orange, green, navy and red. More than 25,000 happy campers have given this ultralight sleeping pad a five-star rating. "I sleep on my side and cannot have pressure on my hips. This pad did the trick wonderfully. Slept great and without pain," wrote one five-star reviewer, adding that it was "well worth the money spent. Had no problems at all. After the first use in the morning it was still inflated, but a little soft, we assumed from first-time use stretching, and we added literally only 1/2 a breath. This lasted until the end of our 10-day trip. We did not deflate each night but left them inflated. The air held the whole time, which I was amazed about." Another five-star customer, a Marine who was tired (literally) of their military-issued sleeping pad, had this to say: "The air moves about between the cells and kind of adapts to your position, very comfortable, and I was surprised that I woke up without pain. I actually looked forward to going bed ... I'm extremely happy with this product, have told my fellow Marines, friends and family about it and will be buying one for each of my three immediate family members for camping." One of the biggest pros, according to reviewers? How easy it is to set up. "Takes about one minute and just a few breaths of air. The valve is simple and works very well. I've slept on this while tent camping for about 12 nights now and been impressed. It's comfortable and cushions oneself from the ground better [than] I expected when I first opened it. It deflates super fast, rolls up easy and packs down small." The biggest gripe: There's no solid valve for inflating. Said one four-star reviewer, "One flaw for me was the valve. It's just a plastic flap which doesn't stop the air coming out as the mat gets close to being fully inflated. ... This meant I couldn't get the mat as completely inflated as I would have liked and my hips dug into the ground a bit." Some adventurers wished for a bit more padding. "I wanted a little more cushion for my back, but even 2 inches of cushion makes a difference if you've ever slept on the bare ground," said a four-star reviewer. "I'm probably going to upgrade to something a little thicker for my next hiking trip, but I'm going to keep this one to toss in a hammock for a day trip."
