Captain America's star Anthony Mackie's 'Elevation' is a surprise streaming smash: Where can you watch it?

played the role of a titular role in Captain America: Brave New World, he starred in a forgotten sci-fi flop that's finding redemption on streaming. The 2024 movie titled' Elevation' is now living up to its name and it climbing the Amazon Prime Video Charts.
Elevation is currently in third place on the Prime Video Top 10 global movie chart, as per Flix Patrol. It trails behind Jon Bernthal's The Accountant 2 and the popular new action comedy, Heads of State, starring John Cena and Idris Elba.
The high rankings for Elevation is good news for a film that underperformed at the box office, grossing less than $4 million on a budget of about $18 million.

Elevation topping charts of Amazon Prime
Recent figures show that Elevation has become a streaming hit, as viewers are tuning in to check out this underappreciated post-apocalyptic story on Prime Video. Set three years after mysterious apex predators emerged from sinkholes underground, these fearsome creatures known as Reapers obliterated 95% of humanity in the first month.

The film stars Mackie as a single father, Will, who lives with his son high up in the Rocky Mountains. Most of humanity has been decimated by predators who emerged from underground.
Surviving humans live at high elevations, about 8,000 feet, heights that the predators are unable (or unwilling) to venture to. However, when Will's son starts to get sick, he recruits a scientist, Nina (Morena Baccarin), to venture out of elevation with him to find help. The film currently holds only a 55% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes, though it was more well received by regular viewers with an 80% audience score.

Where can you stream Elevation?
Elevation dropped on Max on February 21 after its quiet theatrical release in November 2024. However, the platform also hosts plenty of smaller movies like Elevation. People can subscribe to Max at the ad-supported level for $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year or at the ad-free level for $16.99 per month or $169.99 per year.
How can you rent or buy Elevation?
Before being released on Max, Elevation became available for at-home viewing with a number of video-on-demand options. As a smaller release, Elevation can be rented for one-time viewing options at a reasonable fee despite being a relatively new release. It is available to rent across all VOD platforms for $5.99. Alternatively, fans can also purchase the movie to own on these same platforms with buying options ranging from $14.99 to $19.99.
