Barid Al-Maghrib Supports Architects in Digitizing the Sector

Rabat — Morocco's postal service and architects have joined forces to revolutionize architectural practices through digital transformation. Barid Al-Maghrib (Poste du Maroc) and the National Council of the Order of Architects (CNOA) signed on Monday a groundbreaking partnership agreement focused on digitalization. Amin Benjelloun Touimi, Director General of the Postal Group, and Chakib Benabdellah, CNOA President, established this framework to boost digital trust and help architects access online services through national digital platforms. The partnership commits both organizations to guiding architects through their digital transition. This support will help them meet regulatory requirements while improving operational efficiency, service quality, and the legal validity of their digitized documents. 'This marks a crucial step in our shared mission to support the digital transformation of architectural professions in Morocco,' said Benjelloun Touimi at the signing ceremony. 'Through this mutual commitment, we reaffirm our ambition to place innovation and digital trust at the heart of our respective services.' Specifically, Barid Al-Maghrib will provide architects with complete digital solutions, including electronic certificates, electronic signatures and stamps, timestamping, electronic paraphernalia, and secure archiving services. 'It reflects our shared belief that technological progress drives economic growth and professional excellence,' he said. CNOA President Benabdellah spoke of the significance for Morocco's growing community of 4,000 architects. 'This initiative will save time and support the profession's evolution,' he noted. The agreement will help Moroccan architects legally secure their professional documents, speed up administrative procedures, reduce processing times, streamline interactions with government agencies and clients, and lower their environmental footprint. Khalid Yousfi, Commercial and Digital Marketing Director at Barid Al-Maghrib, pointed out that this partnership builds on emerging digital platforms, referring to the public procurement portal and the 'Rokhas' (licenses) digital portal as examples. The initiative will also focus on training, awareness, and providing architects with optimal access to Barid Al-Maghrib's digital trust services under favorable operational, technical, and financial conditions. Modernizing the architectural sector is just one part of the country's broader vision for its digital economy, an important part of the Morocco Digital Strategy 2030.
