New rank replacements have been approved for 1,232 personnel across various entities, including the Sharjah Police General Command, the Amiri Guard, the Sharjah Police Academy, and the Civil Defence Authority. He stated that the decision took effect retroactively from March 26, 2025, the date of the law's issuance, with all financial and related matters adjusted accordingly. Major General Bin Amer explained that the decision was based on Law No. 1 of 2025, which reorganises the police and public security forces in the emirate, and its amendments. Additionally, Law No. 6 of 2025 amended Law No. 2 of 2021, specifically addressing the abolition of the ranks of "Senior Assistant" and "Chief Assistant," in the public interest.
