The #FemEffect addresses menstrual health access

Femagene is excited to announce the launch of its new campaign, #FemEffect. This initiative focuses on helping women feel confident and in control of their lives, with the belief that when women are empowered, they can achieve anything. At the core of the campaign is a simple yet impactful effort: for every Femagene product purchased, a menstrual cup will be donated to a woman in need. In partnership with Ubuntu, a non-profit organisation, Femagene is working to ensure that all women have access to the tools they need to manage their menstrual health in a sustainable and dignified way. 'We're committed to supporting women's health and ensuring no woman has to struggle with a lack of access to menstrual care,' says Lindie Pretorius at Femagene. 'With #FemEffect, we're not only providing menstrual cups but also making sure that every purchase helps another woman manage her health and future.' Addressing the Issue of Menstrual Health Access 'Access to menstrual care is a fundamental right, yet many women in South Africa still struggle with managing their periods,' says Ubuntu NPO spokesperson Amkela Makhanya. 'Up to 7 million girls in South Africa lack access to menstrual products, leaving them unprepared for their periods. While there is still much work to be done, we are incredibly grateful to Femagene for their #FemEffect campaign. Their generous donation of menstrual cups is making a tangible difference by helping to reduce stigma and offering a sustainable solution to those who face barriers to menstrual care. It's a step toward breaking the cycle of period poverty'. Empowering Women Through Confidence – The #FemEffect campaign also aims to encourage women to recognise their strength and feel confident in their everyday lives. As part of the campaign, Femagene is launching a TikTok series hosted by Relebogile Mabotja, featuring influential figures such as Mpoomy Ledwaba, Amanda Dambuza, Pamela Mtanga, and Thobile Khumalo. These women will share personal stories about body confidence, overcoming societal pressures, dealing with online bullying, setting boundaries, and more. The series is designed to inspire women to be confident and take control of their lives. Mpoomy Ledwaba speaks on online bullying. Thobile Makhumalo Mseleku on helping her daughter overcome anxiety 'Confidence is more than just appearance, it's about how women show up and claim their space,' says Pretorius. 'When women believe in themselves, they can take on anything, from career changes to managing their health.' Join the Movement The #FemEffect campaign invites every South African woman to embrace her confidence and take charge of her future. By choosing Femagene, you're not only investing in your own health and well-being but also helping provide sustainable menstrual care to women in need
