According to the temple authorities, Nita Ambani's mother, Purnima Dalal and sister Mamata Dalal, had visited the historic temple on April 23. Nita Ambani donates Rs 1 crore to Telangana temple During their visit, the mother-daughter duo performed a special puja at the temple, and were apprised about the unique history of the place by the temple's then executive officer Krishna, requested them to make a contribution towards its development. Following the request, Nita Ambani, the wife of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, decided to donate Rs 1 crore to the Balkampet Yellamma Temple, which was credited in the temple's bank account on Wednesday, officials said. Balkampet Yellamma Temple readies to host Kalyana Mahotsavam Meanwhile, the Balkampet Yellamma Temple is preparing to host the Ammavari Kalyana Mahotsavam and the chariot festival from July 1 next month, and temple officials are engaged in making the necessary arrangements for the event, including setting up giant LED screens for devotees to view the Ammavari Kalyana. Advertisement === Officials said additional water tankers have been arranged for those organising food distribution programmes. Additionally, all manhole covers inside the temple grounds have been closed as a precautionary measure, while sanitation workers will work in three shifts to ensure cleanliness. Further, CCTV cameras and high-mast lights are being installed, and photo ID cards will be provided to volunteers, as well as special passes for donors and important people, the temple officials said.
