Busta Rhymes To Be Recognized With Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame
Busta Rhymes is set to have his musical legacy cemented with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony, scheduled for Friday (Aug. 1), will feature commentary from actor Chris Rock and musicians LL Cool J and Chuck D.
The Brooklyn native is recognized in the recording category, and once installed, he claims the 2,818th star on the famed strip.
'The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce will be adding Busta Rhymes, one of Hip-Hop's most enduring and electrifying voices, as a new member of Hollywood's iconic sidewalk,' expressed Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. 'His talent and influence are undeniable. His star on the Walk of Fame will stand as a testament to his lasting impact on hip-hop music and how important it is to American culture.'
Earlier this month, Hollywood Chamber of Commerce President Steven Nissen announced the inductees in the 2026 class.
Actor Keith David was listed alongside The Clark Sisters, Shaquille O'Neal, Miley Cyrus, Bone Thugs 'N Harmony, Emily Blunt, Timothée Chalamet, Rami Malek, Rachel McAdams, Demi Moore, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Lucero, Chef Gordon Ramsay, Melody Thomas Scott, and more. Celebrities listed have two years to schedule star ceremonies from the date of selection before they expire.
As described in a press statement, the Hollywood Walk of Fame is a celebration of art, entertainment, and all things Hollywood. Star ceremonies are broadcast worldwide, connecting fans with their favorite artists. All honorees are selected by a committee of their peers, with sponsors funding the star, the ceremony, and the maintenance of the attraction.
