Jordon Smith set to return in Seattle Supercross

This week, Jordon Smith returns to action in the Monster Energy Supercross 250 West division at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington. Smith was injured in a crash in the Arlington, Texas, Triple Crown race when he crashed in the whoops, breaking four ribs, puncturing a lung, and suffering a laceration to his spleen. The calendar worked in his favor. Since the series left Arlington four rounds ago, the 250 East riders have hosted two standalone rounds. There has also been an off-week in the schedule, which means Smith missed only the East / West Showdown in Indianapolis, Indiana. Advertisement "We are back," Smith posted on social media. "Been working hard to get healed and back to race shape in the past 4 weeks. Thanks to all the doctors that had a part in helping me get back on the track, and my whole crew back at home with a special thanks to [Katie Smith] for taking care of Blair and [me]! See you guys in Seattle!" Smith began the season strong with back-to-back podiums in Anaheim 1 and San Diego. He finished fourth in Anaheim 2 and gave Triumph its first victory in his fourth race with the team. Finishing last in the Arlington Triple Crown and missing one round dropped Smith to fifth in the championship standings, 44 points behind leader Haiden Deegan. Supercross 2025 results: 250 highlights, finishing order, reaction at Arlington, Haiden Deegan wins

Haiden Deegan continues to make things hard on himself but he has fun running through the pack, and that is precisely what he did in Round 7 of the 2025 Monster Energy Supercross season at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Deegan got bad starts in the first two races before gathering his momentum to win each. Notably, his best start of fourth in Race 3 netted his worst finish of second. With a 1-1-2, he easily eclipsed the field. The inability to put a complete race together might have been one reason for his intensity on the podium. Despite winning, Deegan said he needs to continue to improve. The field did not want to hear there is more in the tank. Last year Coty Schock had a Cinderella season with ClubMX. He improved dramatically but failed to podium. That was rectified Saturday night in Arlington. Schock led much of Race 1 before finishing second, barely missed the podium in Race 2 with a fourth, and finished sixth in the finale. Combining for 12 points, he took second overall via a tiebreaker. This is Schock's first Supercross podium. The story of the night belonged to Michael Mosiman. Coming back from injuries that sidelined him for most of the past two seasons, he's progressively improved from 15th in Anaheim 1 to third in Arlington. In the post-race news conference, Mosiman admitted to riding a little conservatively in the opening rounds but he is ready to contend for a win. He finished third, second, and seventh in the three features for third overall. Jo Shimoda is mostly healed from his broken fingers. He swept the top five in the Arlington Triple Crown with fifth-place finishes in the first two races and a third in the finale. He missed the podium by one point in the Olympic-style scoring. Garrett Marchbanks also put in one of his best performances of the season. He stood on the podium in Race 2, scored another top-five in Race 3, and had a worst of seventh for 15 points and fifth overall. Cole Davies Has Three Word Message to Supercross Competition

After four races in the 250SX West Division, Cole Davies sits comfortably fourth in the championship standings. 15 points behind the championship lead is still less than a race gap to the top spot. The fifth race will mark the halfway point in the western subdivision before the next five will determine the 2025 champion. That next race will be the first East/West Showdown in Indianapolis. On Saturday night, all eyes will be on the pivotal race in Arlington. Despite the pressure and tight championship battle, Davies had a bold three-word message during Friday's Media Day event. 'I'm feeling confident,' said Davies. Confident he should be. With two podiums in the last two races and an impressive charge through the field at Anaheim 1, he continues to turn heads every weekend the west series takes the dirt. Now for his second career Triple Crown, one would think the pressure is hard on him. Davies, 17, is more excited to get the race underway. 'It's the halfway season mark, so I'm feeling really good on the bike,' he shared. 'Just got to focus on getting some good starts and we should be good.' His fanbase has been steadily growing round after round, and it's no secret he has gained the eyes of broadcasters and writers from his various stories of his young career. In fact, he is one of the fan favorites besides Deegan to win the 250SX West championship when the series concludes in May. 'It's really cool, and my confidence has gotten better throughout the season,' he said. 'But coming into the season, I was set on doing good. I'm excited to get it underway.' The New Zealander will have three main event races in AT&T Stadium to determine the overall winner and capture the most championship points. Coverage begins at 6 p.m. CT live on Peacock and on NBC Sports Radio, Sirius XM Radio Channel 85.
