LUCKNOW : The Lucknow Development Authority ( LDA ) will begin the allotment process for 334 residential plots under its Anant Nagar scheme on Mohan Road from June 10. The allotment will be conducted through a computerised lottery at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan over three days, in the presence of all 13,031 applicants. According to LDA vice-chairman Prathamesh Kumar, the Anant Nagar Scheme spans 785 acres and includes 2,100 residential, 120 commercial, and 60 group housing plots, where approximately 10,000 flats will be constructed. "We are using a transparent, computerised system for the lottery to ensure fairness," said Kumar, adding that all preparations are complete, and the process will take place under official supervision. Applicants are advised to carry their acknowledgment slip and a valid ID to the venue.

Out of 13,031 applicants who registered online for the plots, the lucky winners will be announced in a transparent draw conducted in the presence of the applicants. Currently, the road is 7 to 10 metres wide, and instructions have been given to develop it into a 24-metre-wide road. The administration will assist in obtaining necessary approvals from concerned departments. According to Lucknow Development Authority ( LDA ) vice chairman Pratamesh Kumar, the Anant Nagar Residential Scheme is being developed over 785 acres and is expected to accommodate approximately 1.5 lakh residents. The plan includes about 2,100 residential and 120 commercial plots. It will also feature 60 group housing plots with over 10,000 flats, along with around 5,000 buildings under EWS and LIG categories, benefiting over 25,000 people. Housing will also be developed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana . The township is being designed following a grid pattern with wide roads and underground power cables. An Edutech City is also planned over 100 acres, with hostels and residential buildings for about 10,000 students, teachers, and faculty members. Approximately 130 acres will be developed as parks and green spaces. The scheme also includes provisions for solid waste management and is expected to be the city's first zero liquid discharge residential project. Regarding land acquisition, the DM instructed that compensation for affected farmers be expedited. It was informed that the compensation amount was transferred to the ADM (Land Acquisition), but some landowners are yet to complete the required forms. The SDM of Sarojininagar has been directed to ensure that revenue staff assist farmers at the site office in completing these forms. Online registration for the 334 plots was open from April 4 to May 5. All the applicants will be notified about the lottery and those who need to correct errors in their application forms will be given time until June 4.
