Charges laid after woman sexually assaulted in Calgary hotel room: police

Calgary police say charges have been laid against a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a northeast hotel room last month.
The incident occurred at 3 p.m. on May 16, at a hotel located in the 100 block of Freeport Boulevard N.E.
Police said the suspect entered the hotel and met with a woman in a room.
The suspect allegedly threatened the woman with a knife while demanding cash, her cellphone and the room safe.
Police say the man restrained the victim before sexually assaulting her several times.
He then left, allegedly taking with him an undisclosed amount of cash and the victim's cellphone.
Anas Hussain, 18, of Calgary is charged with sexual assault, robbery, forcible confinement and uttering threats.
He's scheduled to appear in court on June 18.

In Canada, there is no time limit on reporting a sexual assault.
