Birmingham radio personality Bill ‘Bubba' Bussey debuts new podcast following end of ‘Rick & Bubba Show'
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Renowned Birmingham radio personality Bill 'Bubba' Bussey released the first episode of the 'Bubba on the Lake' over the weekend.
The solo debut of one-half of the long-running 'Rick & Bubba Show' premiered Sunday titled 'And it Begins…Bubba's New Podcast.' The podcast comes three months following the end of the radio show he had co-hosted with Rick Burgess since 1994.

In his first episode, Bussey introduced viewers to the podcast, discussed the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under President Donald Trump's administration, as well as talked with his wife, Betty Lou.
Bussey now serves as assistant athletic director for broadcasting at Jacksonville State University.
Meanwhile, Burgess' foray into his own show began Jan. 6 with the first episode of 'The Rick Burgess Show.'
