USC football countdown to kickoff—Andre Heidari in focus
The countdown to USC's 2025 football season is officially on! The Trojans kick off their new campaign 48 days from today. You need something to help you while away the days and hours in the spring and summer. This is one way to do so. In this new series, countdown to kickoff, we will be counting down the days by highlighting a notable Trojan who wore each number. Today, we look at former USC kicker Andre Heidari.
Position: Kicker
Years played at USC: 2011-2014
Career highlights: Heidari arrived at USC in 2011 and won the starting kicker job as a true freshman. He would hold down that role for the next four years. Heidari's best statistical season came his freshman year, when he was named first-team All-Pac-12 after converting on 88.2% of his field goal attempts.
Heidari is best remembered, however, for his game-winning field goals against Stanford in 2013 and 2014. In 2013 at the Coliseum, he hit a go-ahead 47-yarder with 19 seconds remaining to help the Trojans knock off the No. 4 Cardinal 20-17. The following year up on the Farm, he drilled a 53-yarder with 2:30 remaining, propelling USC to a victory in a top-15 matchup.
After USC: Heidari was not selected in the 2015 NFL Draft. After a brief career in the Arena Football League, he has worked in the recruiting industry, helping high school football players to get noticed by schools.
