Anwar: Asian Renaissance Italian edition reaches broader international audience
ROME: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has expressed appreciation to Italian translator Andrea Fais and publisher Stefano Bonilauri for their efforts in translating his work "The Asian Renaissance" into Italian.
"This book, published more than two decades ago, outlines a grand vision for the revival of Asian civilisation through the values of knowledge, culture, openness and justice.
"It was written in response to global imbalances and the dominance of Western discourse.
"I truly appreciate the dedication of these Italian scholars in translating this work, which allows a broader international audience to engage with important ideas on democracy and value-based development," Anwar said.
He added that the initiative is not merely a translation project but a bridge of thought and ideas that helps narrow the understanding gap between East and West, especially in today's increasingly divided world.
"May this book continue to serve as a source of inspiration in our ongoing efforts to uphold the resurgence of human values, knowledge and universal justice," he said.
