World leaders' recognition of Palestine has ‘encouraged Hamas' to break off peace talks

'He made the point that this has encouraged Hamas to now break off peace talks.'

The clock is ticking for Moscow to enter a ceasefire deal with Kyiv after US President Donald Trump brought forward the deadline. Special envoy Steve Witkoff and Russia's President Vladimir Putin met overnight, in what Donald Trump has called highly productive discussions. 'If he does actually pull this off, get peace, then yes, I say give Trump that Nobel Peace Prize he has long said he deserves,' Mr Bolt said.

‘Fear of the atomic bomb': Reflecting on Hiroshima, 80 years on

Sky News host Andrew Bolt discusses the nuclear bombing of Japan in World War Two and analyses the questions about the justification behind it. "80 years ago, America dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, hoping it would end the war with Japan, three days later it dropped another on Nagasaki and six days later Japan finally did surrender, about 140,000 people just in Hiroshima, so I can certainly understand the grief at the ceremony at that city today," Mr Bolt said. 'A year after the war, the strategic bombing survey figured that Japan would have had to surrender within another four months because it was running out of everything, but that is being wise after the event.'
